Did you get a Pancake Stack as one of your rewards from Chris P; the pig NPC in Grow A Garden, and don’t have a clue what it is, and what it does? It’s one of the four prismatic rewards you can receive, when turning in food for Chris P to eat, and it’s actually a super cool item. Keep on reading to find out why…

There are four different Prismatic rewards you can get, when you turn in a Prismatic food item, to satisfy the pig’s cravings;
- 1 x Taco Fern Seed
- 3 x Gourmet Eggs
- 4 x Gourmet Seed Packs
- 1 x Pancake Stack
There’s no information on the item, or on the Rewards grid, when talking to Chris P, meaning many players won’t actually know it does something.
It looks like it’s just a food-themed cosmetic item, as it’s added to your cosmetic item inventory, but there isn’t an explanation anywhere, apart from a brief mention in the official Grow A Garden Discord.
DJ Jhai gave it a short description: “briefly attracts pets” – and that is literally is.

It’s a large cosmetic item, designed to look like a stack of six pancakes, with maple syrup on the top and butter on the very top.
As it’s a cosmetic item, you can place it absolutely anywhere in your garden, but it’s such a cool item.
When you place it in your garden, all of your pets will hover around it. DJ Jhai said “briefly” attracts pets, but it’s definitely not briefly, my pets just linger around the pancakes the entire time the pancakes are in the farm.
Why is this cool? Are you annoyed by your pets all gathering where you’re trying to open eggs, plant seeds, or take screenshots?
With this pancake stack, you can control where your pets are lingering, and it’s a gamechanger, especially for pets like Capybaras which increase pet’s XP when it is close to them. Usually, you can’t control where your pets go, but with this Pancake Stack, you can control where the pets linger.
This will be amazing when trying to do the triceratops and moon cat method, and just any method where you need your pets to stay somewhere in particular – like a Disco Bee or Dragonfly, where you want them to apply a mutation to a specific fruit.

Obviously, the pets do still crawl, walk or fly around, but they stay around the pancake stack and it’s amazing!
How To Use The Grow A Garden Pancake Stack For The BEST Results
There are lots of ways in which you can use the Pancake Stack Prismatic Reward item, with lots of different benefits, here’s a rundown of how you can use them:
- Moon Cat method to get super big fruits, position the stack near where you want the big fruits (like your Bone Blossoms), and it’ll encourage the Moon Cats to overlap when napping, for crazy big fruits.
- Peacock to advance the cooldown period of all nearby pets (it works SO well for this!!)
- Disco Bee to encourage a specific plant for the Disco mutation.
- Butterfly to encourage a specific plant for the Rainbow variant.
- Capybaras to focus the XP increase on all the gathered pets in one area.
- Echo Frog to get the frog to advance the growth of a specific plant by 24 hours.
- Dragonfly to mutate a specific plant’s fruits into the Gold variant.
- Scarlet Macaw to encourage a specific plant for the Verdant mutation.
- Honey Bee to encourage a specific plant’s fruit to be mutated into Pollinated.
- Flamingo to encourage fruits to grow quicker.
- Hedgehog/Blood Hedgehog to encourage a specific plant for the prickly fruit size multiplier.
- Chicken Zombie to encourage a specific plant for the Zombified mutation.
- Praying Mantis to focus the 1.5x variant chance within 10 studs ability on a specific plant.
- Orange Tabby to choose where the plants will grow 1.5x larger when it naps.
- Hyacinth Macaw to encourage a specific plant for the Verdant mutation.
- Kappa to choose which area of fruits it mutates into Wet and Bloodlit.
- Pterodactyl to encourage a specific plant for the Windstruck mutation.
- Tanchozuru to choose which area of fruits it mutates into Tranquil.
I’ve got 3 Pancake Stacks so far, and I’ve stacked all 3 on top of each other for maximum effect, and it’s insanely effective. It’s definitely one of the best new items in the game, and hardly anyone is talking about them!
