To get almost all of the pets in Grow A Garden, you have to hatch them via the different eggs (Night Egg, Bug Egg, Legendary Egg, Mythical Egg, Rare Egg, Uncommon Egg and Common Egg), however, the Blood Hedgehog, Blood Owl and Blood Kiwi can all be purchased via the Blood Moon shop.

How To Get The Grow A Garden Blood Hedgehog
There are three pets you can purchase during a blood moon, which happens 33% of the time, on the hour.
You can get a blood hedgehog, blood kiwi and blood owl, but it’s hard to get any of them, as they’re so rare, and the stock is rotated, plus it is a limited time event, so you can’t always get your hands on them.
You will find that the blood hedgehog and blood kiwi are easier to find than the blood owl, but you will need to check on the hour, if you want to get any of these pets, because once the blood moon event ends, you won’t be able to get them anymore.
As it’s not an egg pet, you can purchase the Blood Hedgehog (if you ever find it in stock) for 23,000,000 (twenty-three million sheckles).
In terms of design, the blood hedgehog is a burgundy colored hedgehog with brown spines, and glowing red eyes.
Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Blood Hedgehog
Seeing as the Blood Hedgehog is so rare, you have the status of owning such a rare pet, and it was only available for such a short time – two weeks in total, by the time the blood moon event disappears.
When you equip the blood hedgehog in your garden, it will give you growth benefits for prickly fruit.
Just like the ordinary hedgehog within the game, when you have the blood hedgehog in your garden, it will increase the size of prickly fruits (dragon fruit and cactus fruit), but this version gives you both a 2x size bonus plus a 1.17x variant bonus, which is a mega upgrade on the ordinary hedgehog.
If you have a lot of dragon fruit trees or cactus, it could be a good pet to own, as you’re getting two benefits in one.
I believe it also works on durian fruit too, so if you have any of these three plants/trees in your garden, the blood hedgehog is worth having, plus the design is really cool with the red glowing eyes.
I do feel like the blood owl and blood kiwi are the more beneficial pets to own out of the three blood moon pets, but if you see the blood hedgehog in stock, make sure you buy it whilst you can.
