The brand new Grow A Garden peacock pet has to have one of the coolest pet designs within the game. Considering it’s a mid-rarity pet, the dev team went all out on the design of the peacock, plus the animation it does when it performs its ability. Keep on reading for the full low-down on the new peacock pet…

What Is The Grow A Garden Peacock Pet?
The peacock is one of the five pets that can be found inside the new paradise egg. As well as the peacock, you can find the following pets inside the paradise egg:
- Ostrich – 40%
- Peacock – 30%
- Capybara – 21%
- Scarlet Macaw – 8%
- Mimic Octopus – 1%
You have a 30% chance to hatch a peacock, so your odds are really good, and I find that I hatch way more peacocks than I do ostriches, even though the ostrich is supposedly more common.
The design is just stunning. It’s a blue bird with a gray chest, and a fan of peacock tail feathers in blue, green and yellow.
Each of the tail feathers move as the peacock struts around your farm, and there’s an amazing neon green light that surrounds the peacock at all times.
It’s kinda like the blood owl, with the red light surrounding it, or the night owl with the white light surrounding it, but the peacock has luminous green light at all times, and it glows amazingly when it’s dark too.

What Does The Peacock Pet Do?
The peacock has a pretty cool ability. Every 10 minutes, the peacock fans its feathers and all active pets within a 15.19 stud distance will advance their cooldown for their ability by 60.57 seconds.
I think that’s way better than what the capybara can do, yet the peacock is considerably more common than the capybara.

When the peacock fans its feathers, it has the coolest animation with the bird shaking its feathers, and you can get some really big peacocks too.
This one is tiny at under 1kg, but since I got this first peacock, I also got a 2.19kg peacock, and it’s huge, and the feathers are so large it actually blocks your view when you’re trying to harvest fruit for the harvest event.
I feel like the design on this pet, the light and the animation should be on a pet with a higher rarity than it has.
The 60 second cool down is amazing, as the queen bee does a similar thing, but every 30 minutes, although the queen bee does refresh the cooldown completely, whilst the peacock reduces the cool down by nearly 61 seconds.
The peacock is considerably easier to get than the queen bee pet, and I genuinely think it’s one of the best pets from the summer paradise egg.
