When the Grow A Garden Summer Paradise Egg was first revealed, the one pet I wanted more than anything was the scarlet macaw. The design is just so beautiful, and it was the pet I hatched out of the first paradise egg I hatched. Not only is the design amazing, but the benefit it offers is too. Keep on reading to find out more…

What Is The Grow A Garden Scarlet Macaw Pet?
The scarlet macaw is just one of the five pets inside the summer paradise egg, and the eggs each cost 50,000,000 (fifty million sheckles).
It’s one of the rarest eggs to find, with a 7% chance of the egg appearing within the Pet Egg Shops, with the rarest being the bug egg which has a 3% chance.
Inside the Summer Paradise Egg, you can find the following five pets:
- Ostrich – 40%
- Peacock – 30%
- Capybara – 21%
- Scarlet Macaw – 8%
- Mimic Octopus – 1%
The scarlet macaw is the second-rarest pet inside the paradise egg, and it has such a bright and colorful design.
It has a bright red color, with a white heart-shaped face, a black beak, yellow feet, and yellow and blue tail feathers – it is so, so cute.
The scarlet macaw both flies around your garden, and also walks and hovers too.

What Does The Grow A Garden Scarlet Macaw Pet Do?
I think the scarlet macaw pet is my favorite pet from all of the thirteen new pets. I’m also impressed with the mimic octopus, but this pet offers the most unique benefit.
The scarlet macaw, every 11:51 minutes, there’s a 15.90% chance to mutate a nearby fruit, and applying the new “Verdant” mutation to the fruit.

The verdant mutation has a multiplier of 4, which isn’t the biggest multiplier, but it has the coolest effect when it’s applied to a fruit.
It turns the fruit a green color, which isn’t the cool part, it adds a green light sparkle effect around the fruit that glows.
Plus, if you have a fruit that has the “verdant” mutation, if the fruit then ends up with the “sundried” mutation, which you can get from the new “heatwave” weather event, you can get a brand new mutation called the paradisal mutation, which has a multiplier of 18.
