If you play Grow A Garden on Roblox, you need to know all about the different mutations.
Every crop within Grow A Garden has a price it sells for, depending on weight.
However, the selling price can be increased when the crop has a mutation, and different mutations carry different multipliers, and the mutation multipliers stack, so the more mutations a crop has, the more money you’re going to earn in-game.
I’m going to share every single mutation in Grow A Garden, and let you know what the multiplies are for each of the mutations, so keep on reading to find out more…

How Do Grow A Garden Crop Mutations Work?
At the time of writing this post, there are 17 different mutations within the game.
The majority of the mutations are caused by weather events, and with every mutation, you’ll be increasing and stacking multipliers of the original sale price for the crop variation and weight.
For example, if you have a 19.1kg Moon Mango with zero mutations, it’s just a plain Moon Mango, it retails for $81,154 sheckles. However, if this specific Moon Mango had the “Wet” mutation, which is caused by rain within the game, you would get a x2 multiplier, meaning it would now sell for $162,308, just because it has that one mutation.
Never pick your crops until you have at least one mutation, as you want to get the best return on your crops.
If you ever grow a super large fruit, invest in the Favorite Tool in the gear shop, so you can “favorite” it, and lock the fruit, so you don’t accidentally harvest it. It’s an expensive tool to buy, but it’s worth it as you won’t pick it prematurely, before it’s had the opportunity to get some mutations stacked on it.
How To Know Which Mutations A Fruit Has In Grow A Garden?
Thanks to the Bizzy Bee Update, there’s now a feature where you can stand next to a fruit/crop, and you’ll be able to see every mutation it has.
If you have favorited a fruit, you cannot see the mutations while the favorite is in place.
So, you’d have to very carefully remove the favorite to check which mutations the item has, but put the favorite back on straight away, so you protect it again.
Each of the in-game mutations is a different color, so you’ll see the mutations in a colorful sentence, making it easier to know which mutations your crops do and do not have.

All Grow A Garden Crop Mutations & Their Multipliers
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4932.jpeg)
Wet (x2 Multiplier)
The wet multiplier is the easiest to get, and you achieve the wet multiplier with the rain event within the game.
Rain is so, so common, and often happens every 15 mins or so, and when it rains, your crops can get “wet”, and if they are wet, you’ll see little blue raindrops falling from the fruit.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4936.jpeg)
Chilled (x2 Multiplier)
Chilled is a mutation that happens when there’s snow in the game. Snow appears as a white misty sky and makes your avatar shiver, and the snow can mutate your fruit in one of two ways, but you cannot have both of these mutations – it’s an either or situation, so you’ll either get the chilled mutation or the frozen mutation.
You’ll know your fruit is chilled when it gets an icy white layer over it, just like plants after a frost.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4934.jpeg)
Frozen (x10 Multiplier)
You can either get a crop chilled or frozen, but not both, and you’re going to want your crops to get frozen rather than chilled, as chilled only has a multiplier of two, whereas frozen has a multiplier of ten.
The frozen mutation happens during the snow weather within the game, and once a fruit has been frozen, you’ll see a clear ice cube appear around the fruits.
It’s annoying, especially on larger fruits, as it makes the crops so bulky, and makes it hard to see the other fruits in the area. I like the ice cube idea, but wish the ice cubes were considerably smaller, as they’re unnecessarily massive, even on the tinier crops, but a x10 multiplier is decent.

Chocolate (x2 Multiplier)
The chocolate mutation launched during Easter, and you could achieve a chocolate mutation by utilizing one of their chocolate sprinklers, which are no longer available.
If you were gutted you missed out on the Easter event, Grow A Garden has now introduced Chocolate Rain as a weather event within the game, which can be triggered by the devs, and is typically done during updates, or broadcast messages by Jandel; the creator.
With chocolate rain, the sky turns brown, and it rains normal colored rain, but instead of adding the “wet” mutation, it adds a “Choc” mutation instead, and this will give you a x2 multiplier.
Items that have the chocolate mutation appear brown and stripey.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_5292.jpeg)
Moonlit (x2 Multiplier)
Moonlit is a mutation you get during a moon event on the hour. When it’s a normal moon, random crops in your garden become “moonlit” and get a dark blue color to them.
During the Lunar Glow Event, you’d give Wise Old Owl the moonlit and bloodlit fruit, in exchange for prizes, but if you didn’t give the owl your moonlit fruit, you earned a x2 multiplier for these fruits.
Right now, the moonlit mutation isn’t available, as the night events have been removed, but the Grow A Garden team have announced night events are returning, so hopefully that means moonlit and bloodlit mutations will also be returning.
Bloodlit (x4 Multiplier)
The bloodlit mutation occurred in the same way the moonlit mutation did, during blood moon events, which happened 33% of the time.
When blood moons happened, your crops could become bloodlit, and this would make the crop a deep red color.
With the bloodlit mutation, the crops gained a x4 multiplier, which was double the x2 multiplier you got with the moonlit mutation.
Just like the moonlit mutation being currently unavailable, it’s the same for bloodlit, although it could potentially be coming back if the night events are set to return, in the coming days. Fingers crossed!
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4942.jpeg)
Pollinated (x3 Multiplier)
This is the newest mutation within the game, and launched as part of the Bizzy Bees update.
During this update, on the hour, there is a bee swarm event, where tonnes of bees fly out of the beehive on the event platform in the middle of the field, and they go and pollinate random crops in the gardens of everyone in the server.
The event runs for 10 mins, and once the bee pollinates your crop, the crop turns a bright marigold yellow color, which is a deeper and richer yellow than the gold color from the gold mutation.
Plasma (x5 Multiplier)
The plasma mutation is one of the newest additions to the game, and is the rarest mutation to get too.
During the updates, Jandel runs special admin-only weather events to celebrate the updates, and during the last two updates, the weather event is called JandelLazer (he shared a screenshot of the different weather events he can trigger).
During the JandelLazer, you see a massive monkey wearing a crown (Jandel’s avatar) appear from behind the pet shop and gear shop, and lasers shoot from the monkey’s eyes, hitting all six gardens within the server.
If the laser touches your crop/s, you’ll achieve a “plasma” mutation, and the plasma mutation will give you a x5 multiple on the crop.
When your crop has the plasma mutation, you’ll notice a sparkly pink and purple color to it.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4955.jpeg)
Shocked (x100 Multiplier)
One of everyone’s favorite mutation is the shocked mutation, and this happens during a thunderstorm.
The thunderstorms happen randomly, and usually twice a day, but it is an admin event, so can only be run by the Grow A Garden admins, so you have no idea when they’re going to happen.
During a thunderstorm, lightning will strike different points within the entire field, and hopefully your garden.
To encourage lightning to hit certain points within your garden, you can use a Lightning Rod, from the gear shop, if you ever see it available, as it’s super rare.
The rod helps to redirect the lightning strikes to the crops surrounding it, so it’s a good way to influence where you’d like the shock mutation to strike.
Once the lightning strikes your crops, they become a luminous neon glowing crop, and they really do look amazing.
If you are lucky enough to have “shocked” fruits, you’ll get a x100 multiplier, which is insane, and can make you millions (even billions on super large, already mutated fruits).
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4943.jpeg)
Honey Glazed (x5 Multiplier)
One of the mutations that launched in the Bizzy Bees update is the Honey Glazed mutation.
There are only two ways in which you can achieve the honey glazed mutation on your fruits.
You either need to hatch a Bear Bee from the super rare Bee Eggs, which you can purchase via the Honey Shop (if you ever find them available – they’re almost always sold out), and the bear bee will honey glaze a random crop every 25 minutes.
If you don’t have a Bear Bee (yet), you can also purchase a Honey Sprinkler from the Honey Shop, again, if you’re lucky, as they too are always out of stock.
The Bee Egg is 18 Honey Coins, and the Honey Sprinkler is 30 Honey Coins, and both of these items will help you achieve the honey glaze mutation, which will give your crops a x5 multiplier.
The honey glazed mutation looks like dripping honey, in little droplets, and looks so cute.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_5297.jpeg)
Celestial (x120 Multiplier)
The celestial multiplier is my personal favorite from the game, and it only happens during the night events, when a meteor shower happens.
During a meteor shower, shooting stars fall and hit random points in the field, and if it hits your fruit, you get a x120 multiplier, which is even more than the shocked multiplier.
Once your fruits have been hit by the celestial mutation, the fruits become a super pretty shimmery pastel color, and they do look really pretty.
Right now the meteor event has been removed from the game, but it is definitely coming back, as Jandel announced it was. So, you can’t get the celestial mutation right now, but you will be able to once it returns to the game.
If you ever see Star Callers available in the twilight shop or the blood moon shop, buy them, as they help to redirect the shooting stars so they hit your crops – kinda like the lightning rod does, and this will help if you’re trying to turn a specific crop/s celestial, and give yourself a massive x 120 multiplier.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4956.jpeg)
Gold (x20 Multiplier)
The gold multiplier is x20, and you can get golden crops in a variety of different ways.
Sometimes, gold crops can grow in randomly, but you’re going to need a pet like the dragonfly to convert existing crops into golden crops.
When a crop is gold, it gets a x20 multiplier, and is a mutation you’re going to want where possible, and it turns crops yellow with sparkly animations around it. Plus, the gold crops make a sparkle sound too.
Zombified (x25 Multiplier)
The zombified mutation is the hardest to get, because you get it from a pet that isn’t available any longer.
During the chicken zombie update on May 17th, Grow A Garden gave online members the chicken zombie pet for free, but you had to be online during those 15 minutes to get the pet gifted to you.
If you didn’t get online during those 15 minutes, you cannot have the chicken zombie pet, and thus, you cannot get the zombified mutation.
With the zombified mutation, it gives you a x25 mutation, and has a glowing green appearance.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/incollage_save-3-scaled.jpeg)
Disco (x125 Multiplier)
Disco is a mutation that you can only get during an admin-only disco event. Jandel sometimes posts broadcast messages on the screen, and surprises players by running a Disco event – you can find out about what happens during the disco event right here.
After the disco music has stopped, and your avatar stops dancing, you will potentially find crops in your farm with the disco mutation.
The disco mutation is the coolest mutation, as it makes your crop flash multiple colors like a disco ball.
If you end up with a disco mutation, it’ll give you a x125 multiple, and it is super rare to get, as it only happens during the random admin-only disco events.
If you attend the updates, you’re more likely to witness the disco event, and hopefully get lucky and get some disco crops.
Rainbow (x50 Multiplier)
For the rainbow mutation, it is only a mutation you can get from a crop growing in. It is ultra rare, and cannot happen randomly, so if your crop hasn’t grown in as the rainbow mutation, you won’t be able to get it.
The rainbow crops slowly flash through the colors of the rainbow, and it looks so pretty.
If you are lucky enough to grow a rainbow crop, you’ll get a x50 multiplier.
You can improve your chance of getting the rainbow mutation by doing the sprinkler method, but it is so very rare to find a rainbow fruit in your farm.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_4954.jpeg)
VoidTouched (x135 Multiplier)
The voidtouched mutation was debuted during the Bizzy Bees update on May 31st, where there’s a black hole weather event, and if you jump in the air, you end up flying – which is so fun.
Once the black hole admin-only weather event is finished, you could have been lucky enough to get some voidtouched fruits, which give you a x135 multiplier, and it gives you a pink swirl design on the fruits.
It is very, very rare, as there has only been four instances of the black hole weather event so far, but hopefully we’ll see the event happen more frequently, but it could be an event you’ll have to attend an update launch to experience, and get the voidtouched fruit mutations in your farm.
![Ultimate Grow A Garden Mutation Guide [June 2025]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/IMG_5059.jpeg)
Heavenly (x5 Muliplier)
Another new mutation was added to the game during the Bizzier Bees Update. You can gain the heavenly mutation during the Jandel admin-only weather event, and it happens when Jandel runs the admin event where you see his monkey avatar in the sky, laying down with heavenly rays around him.
It is completely different to the Sun God weather event which also debuted that weekend, but the Heavenly mutation gives your crops cute little sparkly stars, and it’ll give you a x5 multiplier, if you’re lucky enough to get it on any of your crops.

Molten (x25 Multiplier)
One of the newest mutations in the game is the Molten mutation, which you can only get during an admin-run Volcano weather event.
During this event, a massive volcano appears from behind the Gear Shop, and it spews massive red, yellow and orange glowing cubes which roll into people’s gardens (as shown above).
If a cube rolls into your garden, wherever the cube stopped rolling, the surrounding fruits become “Molten”, which gives them a x25 multiplier.
It also makes the fruits glow red, orange and yellow, just lava.
Burnt (x4 multiplier)
If you were lucky enough to attend the Grow A Garden Working Bees Crafting Update, you’ll have been gifted the Cooked Owl Pet.
It’s a cooked owl that walks, hovers and flies around your garden while making a hooting noise, and it has the ability to turn crops “burnt”.
If your crop is burnt, the mutation is written in black font when you approach a fruit, and it turns the crop black, like it’s been burnt.
Cooked (x10 multiplier)
You can get one of two mutations if you have the Cooked Owl pet. You can get the above, burnt mutation, or you can get the cooked mutation – but you cannot have both mutations. It is an either/or situation.
Cooked is the less common mutation, which explains why it has the higher mutation, so cross your fingers your cooked owl will cook your crops, and not burn them.

AlienLike (unknown multiplier)
The newest weather admin event being added to the game is the Alien Invasion event, and with this event, little teal UFOs will descend from the sky into our farms, and if the UFO touches our crops, we’ll get the AlienLike mutation, which shows up as a bright teal colored AlienLike mutation tag. I expect the multiplier to be between 100 and 135, but will update once we get confirmation.

Dawnbound (x150 multiplier)
The Dawnbound mutation was a super unique mutation, because Jandel didn’t tell anyone how to get it. The weather event involves the sky going golden, and Jandel’s monkey avatar appearing from behind the Gear Shop, with a sun crown on, and massive bright sun rays behind him.
This mutation only applies to picked sunflower heads, and when the sun god version of Jandel appears, four players (minimum) have to stand at the edge of the map in front of Jandel (behind the Gear Shop), and hold the picked sunflower heads, and ensure all four sunflower heads are touching each other.
If all four players are touching with the sunflowers in front of him, the Dawnbound mutation will be applied to the picked sunflowers, and that’ll give them a neon yellow glow that sparkles.
It’s hard to get, because all four players need to be holding a sunflower head, and do it at the same time, but it will give the picked sunflower a 150 x multiplier, so it’s definitely worth doing.
Twisted (x30 Multiplier)
This mutation is brand new and is so much fun to be part of. You’ll notice white spiral tornado spins around the field, hitting different points in people’s farms, and wherever the tornado touches within your farm, those fruits get the possibility of getting the twisted mutation.
If your crop gets the twisted mutation, the word “twisted” is written in gray font, and you’ll see a spiral lke smoke coming from the crop, to let you know you’ve got the twisted mutation.
Galactic (x120 Multiplier)
The Galactic mutation happens during the new Space Travel admin-only weather event. It turns crops purple, with glowing sections, for a spacey effect, and it’ll give you a 120x multiplier, which is amazing.
Sundried (x85 Multiplier)
During the summer update, the heatwave weather event launched within the game. During the heatwave weather event, you’ll see the sun bigger in the sky, and a neon white, with white sunrays beaming down onto the crops, moving around everyone’s gardens.
If you manage to get one of the sun beams on your crops, you can get the “sundried” mutation, which will give you a x85 multiplier, which is amazing.
You can also purchase the new Tanning Mirror gear item in the Gear Shop for 1 million sheckles, to encourage the sun rays to hit your crops.
If you end up with “sundried” crops, it makes the color of the crop a little deeper, just like a sundried fruit, which is super cool.
Windstruck (x2 Multiplier)
There are two weather events that can give us the new “windstruck” mutation – windy, which is super common, and is just as common as rain within the game, with the same multiplier as rain.
When it’s windy, you’ll hear a hairdryer like sound through your speakers, and you can get the same windstruck mutation with the Gale weather event, which is a stronger wind weather event, but you get the same mutation, and same x2 mutliplier.
If you get the windstruck mutation, you’ll see the word Windstruck in a dark gray color.
Verdant (x4 Multiplier)
The verdant mutation is only given by the Scarlet Macaw pet, and it gives you a x4 multiplier. The scarlet macaw pet can be found inside the Paradise Summer Egg, so you need to keep buying those eggs, if you want to get the verdant mutation, and there’s a secret other mutation you can get if you have a fruit that has both the sundried mutation and the verdant mutation.
Paradisal (x18 Multiplier)
If you’re lucky enough to hatch a scarlet macaw pet from the paradise summer egg, you can get the exclusive verdant mutation on your crops.
If you end up with a verdant mutation on a fruit, and that fruit then becomes sundried during a heatwave event, your fruit can then get a secret mutation called the Paradisal mutation, which will give you a x18 multiplier.
This is such a rare mutation, because it’s super rare that the scarlet macaw gives you the verdant mutation in the first place, but to get both the verdant mutation and the sundried mutation on the same fruit will be very rare, and it’ll give you the 18 x multiplier.

Drenched (x5 Multiplier)
The Drenched mutation is a brand new mutation which launched as part of the Mega Harvest Update. You can get the Drenched mutation during the Tropical Rain weather event, which tursn the sky a green color, with green colored rain.
If the green colored rain mutates your crops, it’ll turn them into Drenched, which is written in a cobalt blue color within your list of mutations on your crops, and you’ll also notice a vivid blue raindrop animation falling from your mutated fruit.
CloudTouched (x5 Multiplier)
The CloudTouched mutation can be achieved by owning the new Hyacinth Macaw pet, which you can hatch from the Oasis Eggs, or you can purchase the Mutation Spray CloudTouched from Freddie, the Sky Merchant, where he sells the sprays for 50 million sheckles.

Sandy (x3 Multiplier)
The Sandstorm weather event launched as part of the new Prehistoric Dino Update, and it gives the sky a beige color, turns the ground to a sandy beige color, and gently vibrates the screen.
During the sandstorm, your fruit has a chance to get the Sandy mutation, which gives a x3 multiplier, and turns the fruit into a sandy color, with a rippled sand effect finish, which looks really cool. Plus, the fruits get a sand cloud animation surrounding them.
