One of the best tools or items you can purchase within the Grow A Garden Gear Shop, is undoubtedly, the Favorite Tool.
The Favorite Tool allows you to “lock” your best fruits/crops, so you don’t accidentally harvest them, while you’re waiting for them to collect different mutations, before you sell them. Plus, the Favorite Tool helps to protect your best crops against theft, or it did, until a recent bug. Keep on reading to find out…
The Favorite Tool is 20,000,000 sheckles, and it allows you to favorite your fruit to protect collecting, and you get 20 uses per tool, so it works out at 1 million sheckles per favorite, and you even lose one of those uses when you unfavorite, so you end up going through the uses pretty fast, so I always try and stock up, so I don’t run out.
I see it I’d rather spend 20,000,000 every day on the tool, and keep my best fruits safe, so they can acquire more and more mutations to make them more valuable, than I would accidentally collecting the fruits with no mutations, and having to sell them for a tiny multiple.
Within Grow A Garden, there’s an awful function where you can spend Robux to “steal” a crop from another player within the server you’re playing in. It gives you the crop, and announces it to the whole server that you stole said item.
If you use the Favorite Tool to “favorite” a crop, it locks it, so you can’t accidentally harvest it, and others can’t steal it – but that’s all changed now.
Now, the Favorite Tool has a bug, and if you’re in a server with another player – private or public server – that player can steal absolutely anything from your garden, if they pay the 37 Robux to “steal” the item.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve “locked” it with the Favorite Tool, the thefts will still happen, and it’s truly horrible to see the tweets and comments in the Grow A Garden Discord of people losing fruits with gold, disco, choc, bloodlit, moonlit, chilled, frozen, wet and plasma, which they’ve kept for such a long time.
I think the theft mechanic is a horrible game mechanic anyway, as stealing is awful in a game, and real life. I only ever play in my private server with people I trust, for that very reason, but it’s even more horrible that you’re paying 20,000,000 sheckles for a tool to protect yourself against theft, but the glitch allows them to take the items anyway.
We were told that this glitch was fixed, but it absolutely is not fixed, so please be very careful with which servers you use, as you don’t want to risk your best items being stolen, all because of an in-game glitch.
