When the Grow A Garden Summer Update first launched, it introduced three new eggs; the Common Summer Egg, the Rare Summer Egg, and the Paradise Egg. We’ve also has the Oasis Egg launch since then, as well as the new Dinosaur Egg, all of which have a number of pets for us to collect.
The Sea Turtle Pet is one of the pets you hatch out of the Rare Summer Egg, which happens to be one of my favorite eggs within the game, as all of the pets have really decent benefits. Keep on reading to find out what the sea turtle pet does…
What Is The Grow A Garden Sea Turtle Pet?
The Sea Turtle is one of five pets you can hatch from the Rare Summer Egg, which costs 25 million sheckles.
Considering the standard Rare Egg cost 600,000 sheckles, the Rare Summer Egg is crazy pricey in comparison, but the pets in the Rare Summer Egg are considerably better that those found in the standard Rare Egg, which is currently unavailable, while the summer event is active within the game.
With the Rare Summer Egg, these are the pets you can hatch:
- Flamingo – 30% chance
- Toucan – 25% chance
- Sea Turtle – 20% chance
- Orangutan – 15% chance
- Seal – 10% chance
With the Sea Turtle, you have a 20% chance to hatch one, and they all look massive when you hatch them, regardless of size, due to the large shell for the design.
We do already have a turtle pet within the game, which is one of the pets from the Legendary Egg. Although that turtle had just one benefit, and that was making your sprinklers last 20.38% longer.
The Sea Turtle has a lime green body, and a deep green shell, and it’s huge – even the 1kg ones, and it does the coolest backflip whenever it performs its ability, and seeing as they are so huge, it looks even cooler, seeing it flip backwards in the air.
What Are The Benefits Of The Grow A Garden Sea Turtle Pet?
When you have the Sea Turtle equipped in your garden, every 10:44 minutes, it shares its wisdom with a random pet, granting 1018.32 bonus experience (aka XP points).
Every 116.22 seconds, it splashes water at a nearby fruit, and it has a 10.19% chance to get the wet mutation.
So, the Sea Turtle is one of the rarest pets in the game when it comes to abilities. I don’t think there is another pet that offers three benefits? Many offer two, but with the Sea Turtle, you’re getting three different benefits:
- Sharing 1018 XP points with another of your pets every 10:44 minutes
- Splashes water at random fruits in your garden every 116 seconds (so it waters the plant)
- 10.19% chance of turning fruits to the “wet” mutation
Considering the Sea Turtle is a 20% chance, and kinda common to hatch, I think it’s a really decent pet.
I know the wet mutation is kinda underwhelming with just a x2 multiplier, but the pet is also boosting the XP of your other pets every 10 minutes, and watering random plants in your garden – plus, the backflip animation is awesome too.
