What Is The Grow A Garden Toucan Pet?
The Toucan is one of the five pets you can hatch from the Rare Summer Egg.
Each Rare Summer Egg is 25 million sheckles, and the Rare Summer Egg features in 20% of the Pet Egg Shop restocks.
With the Rare Summer Egg, the five pets you can potentially hatch are:
- Flamingo – 30% chance
- Toucan – 25% chance
- Sea Turtle – 20% chance
- Orangutan – 15% chance
- Seal – 10% chance
The toucan is pretty common, with a 25% chance, so you have a really good chance to hatch a toucan, and they tend to be decently sized too, very often around the 2kg size.
It’s such a cute bird pet, with a chunky design, with black feathers, an orange and yellow beak, blue feet, and white circles around the eyes.
It hovers and flies around, but also walks around the farm. What makes the toucans so popular, is that they tend to stick to the center of the garden, and just fly/hover/walk in circles, so it’s easy to plant crops in the center, for them to be affected by the toucans.
What Does The Grow A Garden Toucan Pet Do?
The toucan pet grants all tropical plants within 25.24 studs a 1.43x size bonus. Grants all tropical plants within 25.24 studs, a 1.15x variant chance bonus.
So, the toucan pet works on any of the “tropical plants” within Grow A Garden, and the tropical plants at the time of writing this post are:
- Banana
- Coconut
- Cocovine
- Dragon Fruit
- Durian
- Honeysuckle
- Mango
- Papaya
- Parasol Flower
- Passionfruit
- Pineapple
- Pitcher Plant
- Starfruit
- Traveler’s Fruit
- Watermelon
If you plant any of these tropical plants, the toucan will help increase the size of the fruits, providing you plant it near to where the toucan is flying/hovering, as well as increasing the chance to get giant fruits, gold fruits and rainbow fruits.
The toucan benefit does stack too, so the more toucans you have in your garden, the higher the chance of bigger fruits, golden fruits or rainbow fruits.
People were using the toucan strat to make humongous honeysuckles, but it looks like that’s now been patched, so sizes are limited on the fruits you can make, but you can still make huge tropical fruits with the toucan, so make sure you don’t give your toucans to the DNA Machine on the dinosaur event display, as they’re super handy for growing really big fruits.
