The Grow A Garden Bat pet is the most common pet in the new Spooky Egg, which launched as part of the Halloween Ghoul Garden update, alongside the Bone Dog, Spider, Black Cat and Headless Horseman. If you’d like to know what the bat does, and if it’s worth while placing in your garden, keep on reading…

You get the Spooky Egg, from the Creepy Critters stall, using the Candy Corn currency, which you earn by either filling up the Witches’ Cauldron every 2 minutes, or by handing Halloween fruits to the Ancient Jack-O-Lantern.
Each Spooky Egg costs you 30 Candy Corns per egg, and there tends to be between 1 and 3 Spooky Eggs in stock each hour.
You can also purchase the Spooky Eggs with Robux, or you can get the Spooky Eggs for free (at random intervals) when handing in Halloween plants to the Ancient Jack-O-Lantern or filling up the Witch’s Cauldron.
Each Spooky Egg takes 4 hours and 10 minutes to hatch, and these are the five brand pets you can potentially hatch:
- Bat – 45% chance
- Bone Dog – 28% chance
- Spider – 18% chance
- Black Cat – 8.5% chance
- Headless Horseman – 0.5% chance

The bat design is sweet. It’s a dark brownish black color all over, with pink in its inner ears and nose.
It flaps its wings and flies around your garden, and for an uncommon (or the most common pet in the Spooky Egg) pet, it has a cute, detailed design. With the wingspan, even medium-sized bats end up looking huge with the flapping wings.

What Does The Grow A Garden Bat Pet Do?
Grants Spooky plants in 32.71 studs a 0.74x variant chance bonus.
The Bat is kinda like the Halloween version of the Praying Mantis pet from the Bug Egg. It can give growing fruits a variant chance – so gold, rainbow or huge, but it is only a 0.74x variant chance. Obviously, that scales.
This bat is 2.86kg, and at age 100, and 28kg, the variant chance would be 1.50x, which isn’t bad at all, and it could be really handy for completing the Garden Guide plant achievements, if you haven’t already.
You do earn more points from the Witch’s Cauldron event and the Ancient Jack-O-Lantern, if you hand in variant fruits, so it could be handy to use Bats when growing your Halloween plants, like the Poison Apple, to boost your rewards.
