Ants are not a cute animal/insect in real life, but the Grow A Garden ants are adorable, and are some of the most helpful pets within the game. Do you want to know all about the red giant ant pet, the benefits and whether you should add one to your garden? Keep on reading to find out!

What Is The Grow A Garden Red Giant Ant Pet?
We have two different ant pets within Grow A Garden. The first was the Giant Ant, which comes in the Bug Egg (if you’re ever lucky enough to purchase one, as it’s always out of stock), and the newer Red Giant Ant.
The Red Giant Ant is a pet which can be hatched from the Mythical Egg, which is one of the newer eggs within the game.
Each Mythical Egg is 3,000,000 (three million sheckles), and with that egg, you’ll get one of these pets:
- Grey Mouse (grey and pink) 35.71%
- Brown Mouse (brown and pink) 26.79%
- Squirrel (brown) 26.79%
- Red Giant Ant (reddish brown) 8.93%
- Red Fox (ginger and white) 1.79%
The red giant ant has an identical design to the original giant ant, which is grey in color, whereas the red giant ant is a reddy-brown color.
Both ants have a cute smiley face, and tiny little legs, and they scurry along the floor within your garden.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Red Giant Ant Pet
The Red Giant Ant is relatively rare, as it’s the second-rarest pet within the Mythical Eggs, with only an 8.93% chance.
When it comes to the benefit, and how the red version of the giant ant can help you, when you equip it to your garden, it gives you a 5.18% chance of harvested crops duplicated, and you get a pop-up message to say “lucky dupe, you got a bonus X” – and it works on special fruits too.
This is particularly helpful right now, with the Bizzy Bee update, because it can duplicate pollinated crops, so you can get two identical pollinated crops, which will help immensely in trying to earn honey coins, to be able to buy the bee themed items within the honey shop.

Some pets duplicate the seeds, but with the red giant ant, you’re duplicating the picked fruit/crop, so you’re earning double the money.
It even works on mutated fruits too. I had my red giant ant duplicate a shocked, gold, zombified and bloodlit mushroom, which is amazing. I think it’s one of the best pets to have in the game right now, especially with the pollinated plant collection element within the Bizzy Bees update.
