When it comes to uncommon pets, the rooster is definitely one. If you play in public Grow A Garden servers, you very rarely ever see the rooster pet.
I don’t know why either, as it offers an actually decent benefit, especially if you like to buy the in-game eggs, plus it can actually give you an extra benefit if you have the chicken as well.

What Is The Grow A Garden Rooster Pet?
The rooster can be found inside the rare eggs, which are 600,000 (six hundred thousand sheckles), and they’re bright blue eggs.
You’ll find the following five pet inside the rare eggs:
- Orange Tabby (cat) 33.33%
- Spotted Deer (brown with white spots) 25%
- Pig (pink) 16.67%
- Rooster (yellow) 16.67%
- Monkey (brown) 8.33%
I find that I very rarely get the rooster. It’s almost always the orange tabby cat, which is no surprise, as it’s a 33.33% chance, but I swear I get the monkey more often than I get the rooster.
The design is different to the chicken, with a bright yellow head, teal body, orange feet, orange beak and a red comb on the top of its head.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Rooster Pet
If you equip the rooster in your Grow A Garden farm, it will increase the egg hatching speed by 20.34%, which I think, is a really impressive benefit.
That’s a big time saving, and you can even stack the rooster with the kiwi or blood kiwi, if you own them, as they too increase the hatching speed, to save time on waiting for your eggs to hatch.
I love the eggs in the game, and always have six on the go (I unlocked the extra egg slots by trading in aged pets with Raphael), so by having pets that make the hatching time decrease, is a real time saver.
Plus, a little unknown fact, if you also have a chicken equipped in your garden at the same time, there’s an 11.45% chance that chicken will lay an egg.

Now, I’ve never tried that trick myself, but I would assume it would lay a common egg? And only if you didn’t have the max number of eggs already placed in your garden?
I’m not totally sure. I will have to try this trick for myself, and come back and edit this post, to see if it works, but it’s cool if it does. You never hear anyone talk about it either, but that’s the rooster pet!
