The exciting Grow A Garden Farm Cosmetics update launched yesterday (Saturday 24th May), and the community weren’t enamored by the update, and the removal of the Lunar Glow event (the Owl collect moonlit fruits event) and the Blood Moon event (and shop).
Jandel; the owner of Grow A Garden, listened to the mixed “feedback” and apologized both in the Discord, but also through the game notifications, and, because people were upset about the removal of the moon events, the game launched a brand new Twilight Moon Shop update.

The Grow A Garden Farm Cosmetics update is really cute. It allows you to purchase items to decorate your gardens via the new “cosmetics” store next to the pet store, and you can personalize your gardens to look more like gardens, instead of just crops.
I don’t think people disliked that aspect of the update. I think it was more that people were gutted to lose both of the “moon” events, where you could collect bloodlit fruit and moonlit fruit, to exchange for prizes via Wise Old Owl.
Not only did the owl display disappear, it meant that the new Blood Moon Shop also disappeared, and many people hadn’t got hold of the items they wanted, as the stock was so scarce, like the Blood Owl, I think I only ever saw it in stock twice in a whole week.
Jandel put the moon event back in the game, only a few hours after it was removed, and amazingly, launched a brand new moon event for when it’s a “blue” moon.
Usually, when it’s a normal moon, it can make your crops become “moonlit” with a blue glow, which makes the crops more valuable, but also means you can collect them and exchange them for amazing prizes via the Lunar Glow Event, like Night Eggs, Night Seed Packs and Night Staffs for example.

Now, we have a brand new Twilight Moon Shop which appears next to the Lunar Glow Event display, and pops up from the floor, just like the Blood Moon Shop did.
It’s an edgy grey stone display, with a jagged iron fence, and it gives me creepy vibes, and I’m totally here for it.
Once you click to open the shop, you get to see the items included within the shop, and just like the Seed Shop and Gear Shop, the stock isn’t always all available.
Items come and go, so you have to check every single time, to make sure you don’t miss anything.
Included within the new Twilight Moon Shop are the following items:
- Night Eggs
- Night Seed Packs
- Twilight Crates
- Star Callers
- Moon Cat (a brand new pet)
- Celestiberry Seed (new seed)
- Moon Mango Seed (new seed)

Night Eggs (50,000,000 Sheckles)
The Night Eggs are the same eggs you get through the Lunar Glow event (by exchanging your Bloodlit fruit and Moonlit fruit) via Wise Old Owl, and were the eggs you could sometimes buy via the Blood Moon Shop.
Inside the Night Eggs, you can get a hedgehog, mole, frog, echo frog, night owl or raccoon, and they’re all amazing pets, offering some of the best pet benefits in the game. I have all of the Night Egg pets now, and my favorites are the Mole or Raccoon.
Night Seed Packs (25,000,000 Sheckles)
These are my favorite items in the game, as you get a wheel, and it chooses, at random, a night seed. You could get one of the following seeds; nightshade, glowshroom, mint, moonflower, starfruit, moonglow and moon blossom.
The rarest seed you can get is Moon Blossom, and oh wow do the flowers sell for a lot of money. I had a gold, celestial, moonlit and shocked moonflower, and it sold for nearly 5 million sheckles. It wasn’t even big!
I’ve only ever been lucky enough to get one Moon Blossom seed, and I am desperate to get more, as they’re the prettiest tree/plant in the game, and of course, the most profitable.

Twilight Crates (120,000,000 Sheckles)
This is a brand new type of mystery crate. With these crates, you get a navy blue “crate” which you have to place somewhere in your garden.
Once you’ve placed them, you have to wait 20 minutes to open them, and once they’re showing as “ready” on the pop-up screen, you open the crate to reveal one of five possible cosmetic items, you can use to decorate your farm.

These five items are: glowing navy pot with blue flames, a grey stone pillar with glowing stars and moons on it (you can rotate it so you can choose if the glowing moon or star is facing forward), an amazing stone archway with a glowing star on the top (my favorite item from the crates – and perfect for your entrance), a stone owl statue with glowing stars in the base (I have two either side of my entrance, and they look so cool), and a spiky iron fence in a grey and blue color.
These crates cost an insane amount of in-game currency, and yes, I’m happy I have all of the items, but wow are they expensive.

Star Callers (12,000,000 Sheckles)
The Star Callers first launched in the Blood Moon shop, and they’re little poles that you place anywhere in your garden, and they increase the chances that your garden will be hit by a shooting star during a meteor shower.
It’s similar to the Lightning Rod, in that it makes it more likely that you’ll be hit by the meteor showers.

Moon Cat (100,000,000 Sheckles)
We got one brand new pet in the new Twilight Moon Shop Update, and it might be one of the best pets in my opinion.
It’s adorable to start, and to me, it looks identical to Animal Crossing’s Rosie, and I love Rosie!
She’s a little blue and grey cat with pink triangles inside her ears (mine is called Winnie), and every 59.51 seconds she naps for 20.33 seconds somewhere in your farm, and during that time, she’ll make new fruit within 20.33 studs of her will be made 1.52 x larger. PLUS, you get a 6.10% chance “moon” type fruit stays after harvest.
They’re amazing benefits, and I’ve only had her for a couple of hours, and already had some really good-sized fruit spawn in after her circle “nap” spot happens. She looks like she glows when it’s the moon events too, which is a cute extra touch.

Celestiberry Seed (15,000,000 Sheckles)
We got two new seeds, and both of them are very exciting.
The first is celestiberry, which is a dark blue seed, and it grows into a bush rather than a tree (like the blueberries and raspberries too in-game).

Once the “bush” has fully grown, it also has these amazing vines with studs/spikes all over them, which look so different to anything we have in-game right now.

The berries grow in duos, and have navy berries and a lighter blue stalk.
Just like all seeds within Grow A Garden, you don’t know how large your seed will grow to become, but from the four seeds I have bought, since the update launched, they’re all a decent size.

Moon Mango Seed (1,000,000,000 Sheckles)
Yes, you read that correctly, 1 billion sheckles for one single Moon Mango Seed. Ouch.
The seed is super pretty, lilac and purple and it grows a full mango tree, except, it doesn’t have a brown trunk, orange, yellow and red leaves.

The Grow A Garden Moon Mango grows to have a gray/purple trunk, with navy and purple leaves.

Plus, the Moon Mangos are a navy blue and purple, once fully grown, and they look so beautiful on the tree.
So, they are all of the items that are available within the Grow A Garden Twilight Moon Shop Update.
The new shop is truly amazing, and so are the items. We don’t know how long the shop will be available for, so if you do see something you want, make sure you buy it ASAP, as you don’t want the items to leave, and for you to miss out.
