Grow A Garden NEW Zen Update Revealed! [Spoilers]

The newest upcoming Grow A Garden update has been officially announced, and it’s a pretty unique update compared to the types of updates we’ve had lately.

In the last month or so, we’ve had multiple bee-themed updates, a crafting update, harvest event update, mega harvest event update, prehistoric dino update and the pet mutations update.

Jandel announced this newest zen update on his TikTok account, and it’s going to be particularly exciting, as we are getting a brand new Grow A Garden code! Keep reading to see all of the new items, including a new egg, new seed pack, and new pets…

PLUS, WE ARE GETTING GARDEN SLOTS IN THE UPDATE!

The new Grow A Garden Zen Event Update was announced in the official Discord:

“THIS WEEKEND: Zen Update 🧘🍃

Calm and collected, this update brings a new limited time Zen event! Explore and participate to unlock brand new seeds, tranquil themed pets, new features, cool admin weather, and so much more!“

Jandel first announced the newest update on his TikTok, and said it was a New Zen update, which lead to many people in the comments speculating that New Zen meant New Zealand, and that this would be a New Zealand themed update, but, now we know, that is not the case.

In the announcement photo (above) it mentions Zen Event, and not just Zen Update, so that would suggest we’re going to be getting a new event for grinding, with a new event display in the center of the field, to replace all of the prehistoric event stuff we have right now.

In the photo, we can see the following items:

• water feature
• tall white tree
• new gnome
• stepping stone cosmetics
• gong

Usually, whenever Grow A Garden launches a big update, it always lasts for two weeks, with the first week being the initial launch week, but the second week of the update tends to have a better version of whatever launched in the first week.

We are currently in the second week of the Prehistoric Update, and it’s likely that all of the dinosaur related items within the game right now (like the DNA Machine, Prehistoric Daily Quest, Dinosaur Eggs, Primal Eggs and Ancient Seed Packs) will be removed on Saturday, to make room for all of the new items coming in this new update.

So, make sure you purchase, craft or earn the prehistoric or dinosaur items within the game before Saturday, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Let’s take a look at the spoilers…

Jandel did a Q&A with Vindooly, and shared some sneak peeks of the new update, and the event we’re going to have to do, and it looks like it’s going to be almost identical to the Bee event, with hourly events, and we earn Zen Coins (instead of Honey Coins), and we get to spend them in the Tranquil Treasures Shop.

Every hour there will be a Zen event, where wisps will fly from the sky and come and mutate your fruit into the new mutation “Tranquil”.

We are going to have a center display, with two NPC characters (one of which is called Unk the Monk), and we have to “grow Unk the Monk’s tree”, and every hour there’s a Zen shop.

This is a sneak peek to show you what kind of items we’ll be able to use the Zen coins to buy, including the Zen Egg, Zen Seed Pack, seeds, cosmetic items and more.

BUT, this image shows you that some items are LOCKED behind achievement goals, so you won’t be able to buy all of the items, without doing the quest first, and of course, you need enough Zen Coins to be able to buy them in the first place.

Jandel then showed that we are finally getting garden save slots, where we can have two different gardens.

To purchase a second garden, it will cost 100,000,000,000 (one hundred billion sheckles), so it’s going to be hecking expensive, but it’ll allow you to have two separate gardens, so you can have one grindy garden, and then one aesthetic garden, and I honestly cannot wait.

 

Kicking things off, we are getting a brand new pet egg, and it’s the Grow A Garden Zen Egg, which has a cool monochrome design, with a Yin and Yang symbol on each of the sides.

This egg is going to be available in the “Shop” icon on the side of the screen, where it’ll be on sale for 149 Robux, so that will be a premium version, but hopefully we’ll be able to earn free Zen Eggs from doing the Zen Event or quest.

Here is one of the pet sneak peeks and it’s the Nine Tail Fox.

This adorable red and white nine-tailed fox is going to target a plant in another person’s garden, mutate the plant, clone it, and take it back to your garden, so both you and the other player win.

It’s kinda like a better version of the raccoon, and is bound to be a super popular pet once it launches, and is likely to be the Divine pet from the Zen Egg, so hopefully we get six new pets from this new egg.

Another pet sneak peek is the Koi Fish. This pet will be 449 Robux, which was the price of the Hamster pet, and will be available within the Tranquil Treasures Event Shop, and it’s super unique because there are eight color variations you can get, and it’s the first pet ever in the game to have color variations.

Usually, we can’t just buy pets outright, we have to buy eggs, to then hatch the pets, but whenever there’s fully grown pets to buy, they’re only available in event shops (like the Moon Cat, Blood Hedgehog, Blood Owl, Blood Kiwi, Bald Eagle and Hamster).

We are getting three brand new mutation sprays, which we will be able to craft, or purchase with Robux, like the sprays we already have in the game.

The three sprays are:

• Mutation Spray Verdant
• Mutation Spray Windstruck
• Mutation Spray Disco

The Disco spray is the most exciting, as it carries such a high multiplier, but also, for aesthetic reasons, to be able to choose what becomes Disco, will be a game changer.

Seed packs are one of the best parts of any Grow A Garden update, and the Zen Update is going to include the Zen Seed Pack, which will complement the Zen Eggs.

These seed packs are monochrome, just like the eggs, and I can’t wait to see which seeds will be available within these packs.

They’re going to be available as premium seed packs within the shops, again, like the eggs, but hopefully we can earn the seed packs for free, by doing the new daily quests.

We are getting at least three new seeds within this update, and the three seeds we know we’re getting are:

• Spiked Mango Seed
• Zenflare Seed
• Soft Sunshine Seed

How cool do they all sound? I particularly like the sound of the Spiked Mango Seed. I can’t wait to see what that looks like fully grown, and the blue color of the Zenflare Seed is so pretty.

We don’t have enough blue plants/flowers within the game, so I hope this grows to be as pretty as the seed looks. I wonder what the Soft Sunshine Seed will look like too, as the shape of the seed is, ehrm, interesting.

If you’re into the cosmetics side of the game, we’re getting two new crates.

One cosmetic crate and one gnome crate, and this is the cosmetic crate, which is called the Zen Crate, with the same design as the seed pack and egg.

This is the Zen Gnome Crate, which has a khaki color, with the Yin and Yang symbol on the front, if you like to collect the gnomes from the limited edition events.

Another cosmetic item we’re getting is a Hot Spring, which looks like a little rock pool, with “steam” that rises from the water, and this will cost 149 Robux, and will hopefully be available in the Cosmetics Shop.

This latest update is going to be particularly exciting too, as Jandel has officially confirmed that we are getting a brand new Grow A Garden code.

The last time we had a Grow A Garden code item, was back when the Lunar Glow Update launched, and the code LUNARGLOW10 gave us three Basic Seed Packs and one Exotic Bug Egg.

We don’t know what the new Grow A Garden code will give us this time, but it’s likely to be similar to the last code, so maybe some seed packs? It’s exciting nonetheless, as it’s been months since the last code item was launched.
