We have three different owls within Grow A Garden, and the Night Owl is just one of those owls.
If you love owls, you’re going to love all three of the owls, as they’re all such cute designs, and they all offer different benefits to help you level up your other pets you have equipped in your garden. If you’d like to find out all about the Night Owl and its benefits, keep on reading…

What Is The Grow A Garden Night Owl Pet?
The Night Owl is just one of six pets you can hatch in a Night Egg.
Night Eggs were limited edition eggs you can earn by doing the (now discontinued) Lunar Glow Event, by exchanging your moonlit and bloodlit fruit.
You could also purchase the Night Eggs with sheckles, in the twilight shop or blood moon shop, but those two shops have now been discontinued, so there’s no way to get your hands on any night eggs now.
Inside the night eggs, you’ll hatch one of these night-themed pets:
- Hedgehog 40%
- Mole 22%
- Frog 14%
- Echo Frog 10%
- Night Owl 4%
- Raccoon 1%
With the night owl being the second-rarest pet you can hatch, after the raccoon of course.
For the night owl, it’s a navy blue and a lighter blue colored boxy owl with an orange beak, orange feet and blue claws.
It also has glowing neon eyes, plus it has a glowing white light around it, which looked amazing during the night events we had.
I think the night owl has the cutest design out of the three owls, with there also being the ordinary owl and the Blood Owl too.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Night Owl Pet
All three of the owls have similar benefits, in that they increase the XP of the other pets you have equipped within your garden.
With Grow A Garden, Raphael in the pet shop, lets you trade in aged pets for extra pet slots (so you can have more pets in your garden at any one time) or extra egg slots (so you can have extra eggs hatching in your garden at once).
So, the owls help your other pets to age, providing you keep the “hunger bar” full on your pets, as that’s the only way to age them.
When you have the night owl equipped as one of your pets in your garden, all active pets gain an additional 0.22 XP per second.

You don’t get any other additional benefits to improve your game though, which might make them a little less appealing than the other pets, but if you do want to unlock more pet slots, and more egg slots, the owls are the way to do it.
I now have six pet slots in my garden, and six eggs, and it’s all thanks to the owls, although, as of now, all three owls are not available, as the night eggs have gone, as has the lunar glow event, and the blood moon event, so I imagine we’ll maybe get another new owl in the not too distant future, as they’re so popular for leveling up the pets.
