The Grow A Garden Mega Harvest Event gave us a brand new egg, with five rare pets to hatch, including the new Hyacinth Macaw pet.
We got the Scarlet Macaw pet in the Summer Paradise Egg, and it’s one of my favorite pets in the game, as it gives an exclusive mutation, and the new Hyacinth Macaw does exactly the same, with another brand new and exclusive mutation. Keep on reading to find out more…
What Is The Grow A Garden Hyacinth Macaw Pet?
The Hyacinth Macaw is one of five brand new pets you can potentially hatch when purchasing one of the new Oasis Eggs.
Oasis Eggs can be purchased from the Summer Shop, using the new in-game currency; Summer Coins, where you’ll earn 1 Summer Coin for every 1000 Mega Harvest Points you get, when doing the Mega Harvest Event.
The Oasis Eggs are relatively difficult to get, as they’re only in stock 1-2 times per day, but you do have the option to purchase the eggs via the “shop” button on the left side of the screen, but those are Premium Oasis Eggs, and they have slightly different chance percentages.
Here are the five pets inside the Oasis Eggs:
- Meerkat – 45% chance
- Sand Snake – 34.5% chance
- Axolotl – 15% chance
- Hyacinth Macaw – 5% chance
- Fennec Fox – 0.5% chance
The Hyacinth Macaw is so cute, with a beautiful bright blue color all over, with yellow circles around its black eyes, black feet, a black beak and blue feathers on the top of its head.
It makes a high-pitched squawk sound, walks around the farm mostly, but sometimes flies and hovers too. When it walks, it looks like it’s on a mission, going quickly in different directions – it is really cute, and I love the noises it makes.
What Does The Grow A Garden Hyacinth Macaw Pet Do?
When you have the Hyacinth Macaw equipped in your garden, every 7:59 minutes, there’s a 15.85% chance to mutate a nearby fruit, applying the CloudTouched mutation.
The CloudTouched mutation is a brand new mutation, which you can only get by having the Hyacinth Macaw pet, or by purchasing the Mutation Spray CloudTouched from Freddie the Sky Merchant, which appears at random next to the seed shop every 4 hours, or it’ll be the Gnome Merchant.
The Mutation Spray CloudTouched is 50 million sheckles, and it gives you 3 uses, but if you have the Hyacinth Macaw pet, it’ll do the mutation for you, and the CloudTouched mutation gives you a mutation multiplier of x5.
I love how the Hyacinth Macaw and Scarlet Macaw pets look together, and I’d love to see more parrots introduced, with more exclusive mutations, as they’re such a cool pet to own.
