This weekend’s update in Grow A Garden is one of the most exciting, because we’re finally getting trading.
The Grow A Garden Trading and Cooking Event is launching tomorrow (Saturday), and it’s two updates combined, as we’re getting the trading update, as well as the Cooking Event update, and you do not want to miss the two updates, plus the Jandel Admin Abuse ahead of the update. Keep reading to find out the launch time for the updates…

What Is The Grow A Garden Cooking Event & Trading Update?
We are finally getting trading within Grow A Garden (read more on that here), and we’ll be able to trade three things; pets, fruits and sheckles.
It looks like we’re going to need to purchase Trading Tickets within the Gear Shop in order to be able to trade, but hopefully the ticket won’t be too expensive, or too rare, as it’ll be a nightmare if it only restocks 2-3 times a week, and you’re desperate to trade.
As well as being able to trade, we’re getting a brand new event within the game, which will (thankfully) replace the Zen Update and the Corrupted Update we’ve had for the past two weeks.
For the Cooking Update, Jandel described it as being a cooking pot is in the middle of the map, add different fruits and vegetables to the pot to cook different quality foods. Discovering better recipes will satisfy the pig who will give better rewards depending on the meal you have made him.
So, the Zen Channeller and Corrupted Channeller NPCs will be replaced by the “pig” and we’ll have to interact with him, to get the rewards.
I’ve seen a list of the rewards we can get from the pig, from doing his quest, and here they are:
- Sheckles
- Mutation Spray Burnt
- Fork Fence Cosmetic Item
- Watering Cans
- Food Crate
- Reclaimer
- Zen Seed Pack
- Dezen Seeds
- Advanced Sprinkler
- x3 Small Toy
- Gourmet Egg (pets include Bagel Bunny, Pancake Mole, Sushi Bear, Spaghetti Sloth and French Fry Ferret)
- Mutation Spray Honeyglazed
- Pretzel Cart Cosmetic Item
- x3 Medium Toy
- Mochi Mouse Pet
- Mutation Spray Fried
- Tranquil Bloom Seed
- Pet Shard Fried
It’s going to be a similar game mechanic to the Bizzy Bee Crafting Update, where we had to give the bear specific items and he “cooked” up rewards, and there were 30 different quest steps to complete, and it looks like there are 18 for the Cooking Event.
I’ve seen a sneak peek of the new pets within the Gourmet Egg, and all five look adorable – I can’t wait to see what their abilities are.

What Time Does The Grow A Garden Trading & Cooking Event Update Launch?
This week’s Grow A Garden Trading Update and Cooking Event Update is going to launch at 10am EST on Saturday the 2nd of August 2025, and this update is a week-long update
Last week, Travis Kelce joined Jandel for the admin abuse, but this week we have a normal admin abuse with Jandel, but they have announced we’re getting “new weather events”, so it’s highly possible that these new weather events are going to be debuted during the admin abuse ahead of the update launch.
Make sure you are at 30 minutes earlier than the below times, so you don’t miss out, but I would honestly recommend being online 60 minutes before the update launches, so you don’t miss any of Jandel’s antics.
