We have a brand new mouse pet in Grow A Garden, thanks to the new Cooking Event update.
For the latest update, we have to cook specific dishes for Chris. P, the pig NPC, and when you do, you’ll receive rewards, and one of those rewards is the new Mochi Mouse pet, which you receive as a fully grown pet, rather than having to hatch it from an egg. If you’d like to know more about the newest mouse pet, keep on scrolling…

How To Get The Grow A Garden Mochi Mouse Pet
The Mochi Mouse pet is one of the “Divine” rewards you can get from cooking up Chris P’s craving.
It’s all random on which rewards you’ll receive, but each dish you create will be rated one of the following ratings:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Legendary
- Mythical
- Divine
- Prismatic
When you hand in a Divine or Prismatic dish, you have the potential to receive the Mochi Mouse as a reward.
There are multiplie colors of the Mochi Mouse pet too, and you’ll receive a color at random. I’ve got 4 of these mice pets so far, two red Mochi Mouse, one purple Mochi Mouse and one green and red Mochi Mouse.
We do already have mice pets in the game, and there’s a Grey Mouse and Brown Mouse, both of which can be found inside the Mythical Egg.

The design is just so cute, with little pink feet, a pink nose, pink inner ears and black whiskers. There’s also a mochi treat on the mouse’s back too, which is a really cute touch.
When placed down in your farm, it scuttles around so quickly, similar to the Grey Mouse and Brown Mouse, and if you sell the mouse via Steven (don’t ever do this), he’ll value the mouse at over 1.2 million sheckles.
Now we have trading, look to trade your mouse with another player, as some players are looking for the different colors of the mice, and you’ll get more sheckles or other pets in the trade.

What Does The Grow A Garden Mochi Mouse Pet Do?
All active “food” type pets gain an additional 1.66 XP per second.
Plus, every 9:54 minutes, the Mochi Mouse gains an additional 508.51 XP bonus experience.
It’s similar to the Grey Mouse and Brown Mouse, which just give themselves a XP boost, but the Mochi Mouse gives itself a lot less XP in comparison.
The food pets it mentions, are the pets you can hatch from the new Gourmet Egg:
- Bagel Bunny
- Pancake Mole
- Sushi Bear
- Spaghetti Sloth
- French Fry Ferret
So, it works like the Iguanodon in boosting just dinosaur pets, but the Mochi Mouse boosts other food themed pets.

If you manage to get your hands on 4-8 Mochi Mouse, and place them down in your garden, and nothing else, you’ll have an XP farm, and they’ll all age up really quickly.
It’d be a perfect way to age up your pets, so you can trade them in to unlock egg slots, pet inventory slots or pet equip slots, so they’ll be handy pets to have, and I love that there are multiple colors you can get at random; they are all so cute.
