The Grow A Garden Kitsune pet is the rarest pet within the entire game, with a crazy 0.08% chance to hatch it from the new Zen Egg.
You can purchase Zen Eggs via the Zen Shop with Robux, Chi Points or earn free Zen Eggs by completing the Zen Channeller’s tree quest, and I hatched the Kitsune pet from a completely free egg. Keep on reading to find out all about the Kitsune, what it does, and if it’s worth the grind to try and get one.

What Is The Grow A Garden Kitsune Pet?
The Grow A Garden Kitsune pet is a nine-tailed fox which launched as part of the Zen Update.
It can be found inside the Zen Eggs, with five other pets, and these are the six pets that can be hatched out of a Zen Egg:
- Shibu Inu – 40% chance
- Nihonzaru – 31% chance
- Tanuki – 20.82% chance
- Tanchozuru – 4.6% chance
- Kappa – 3.5% chance
- Kitsune – 0.08% chance
The Kitsune is crazy hard to get, with the rarest chance percentage the game has ever seen. Before the Kitsune, the rarest pet to hatch was the Disco Bee with a 0.25% chance.
Each Zen Egg costs 149 Robux, or 30 Chi Points, and you earn Chi Points by handing in Tranquil fruits to the tanuki on the event display, that have been mutated during the Tranquil Aura hourly events.
Every fruit and plant within the game is allocated a points number, depending on its rarity, and the rarer the fruit, the more points you’ll earn, and you can then spend those points within the Zen Shop.
The Zen Egg is rated as being Legendary in terms of its rarity, but it’s stupidly hard to find it in stock, even if you use sheckles to restock the shop manually, it’s almost always out of stock.
We’ve never had a Prismatic pet before, with Divine being the rarest pet to find within the game.
The design on the Kitsune is incredible, with a red and white color theme, nine tails, long ears and long claws, red flames surrounding its legs and a red aura that glows around the outline of the fox.
It looks amazing, especially during the night events, and all of the tails move individually, which is such a cool effect.

What Does The Grow A Garden Kitsune Pet Do?
With the Kitsune being so rare, what does it actually do?
Every 22:13 minutes, it goes to another player’s garden and chooses a random crop, it mutates that crop with the exclusive Chakra mutation (a x15 multiplier), then steals (duplicates) and gives the crop to you. Very rare chance to mutate the crops with the Foxfire Chakra mutation (x90 multiplier) mutation instead.
So, the fox will go to another player’s garden, providing you’re not in a private server, and choose one of their plants, and mutate one of the crops on that plant. The mutated crop stays on the player’s plant, but the fox duplicates the crop, and brings it to you, so both players get the mutated crop.

It’s an upgrade on the raccoon, which duplicates the crop, so the raccoon owner wins, but the other player doesn’t get anything, so with the Kitsune, it’s a fun twist where both players will benefit, which is cool.
It really is an amazing pet, both aesthetically, but also in terms of its ability. You cannot get the Chakra mutation or Foxfire Chakra mutation in any other way, so it makes the pet super helpful, and because you’re helping the other player, it hopefully means players won’t just leave the server when they see the Kitsune waltzing over towards their garden, which often happens if you have raccoons.

I never expected to get a Kitsune, as they are so rare, and I wasn’t prepared to spend Robux on the eggs, as the other pets (apart from the Tanchozuru) are really underwhelming.
My egg was completely free, and I couldn’t believe it when I saw it hatch, and it looks a lot bigger than the average Kitsune too.
I own eight Seal pets, which are one of my favorite pets in the game, as they can give you completely free eggs when they’re equipped. Each seal gives you a percentage chance of getting a free egg when selling a pet.
So, if you sell a Praying Mantis pet, if you have a seal/s in your garden, you could get a free Bug Egg.
I pick up all of my best pets when I need to sell pets, and equip my eight seals before selling, and it’s crazy how many free eggs you end up.
Whenever I sell Zen Egg pets, I almost always get a free Zen Egg back, and the egg I hatched my Kitsune from, was a free egg from my seals, which makes it even crazier that I was able to hatch it, considering it’s a 0.08% chance.
The chance of hatching the Kitsune, means on average, you’d need to open 1250 Zen Eggs in order to to hatch a Kitsune, which is insane.
I just wanted to give a little hope that it *can* happen from the free eggs you get from the Zen Shop, and you don’t have to spend Robux on the Zen Eggs to get your own Kitsune.
