The Grow A Garden Kiwi pet isn’t a pet you can find in any of the eggs within the game. It’s one of the handiest pets to own, especially if you purchase the in-game eggs.
I’m going to share the benefits of owning a kiwi in your Grow A Garden farm and give you the information on how you get one for yourself before it disappears…
How Can You Get The Grow A Garden Kiwi Pet?
Almost all of the Grow A Garden pets can be obtained by buying eggs via the pet shop with Raphael, or you can purchase fully grown pets via the Twilight Shop or Blood Moon Shop.
The kiwi however, is a reward pet, and you can only obtain the Kiwi by participating in the Lunar Glow Event.
For the Lunar Glow Event, you have to give Wise Old Owl on the event display in the middle of the field, your moonlit fruit and bloodlit fruit.
By doing so, he’ll award you Lunar Points, and the points you acquire will earn you prizes along the reward track.
The Lunar Glow Event reward track is as follows:
- 10 – hedgehog
- 20 – night seed pack
- 40 – night staff
- 70 – 2 x night eggs
- 110 – night staff
- 130 – 3 x night seed packs
- 160 – kiwi pet
- 210 – night egg
- 220 – night seed pack
- 240 – 2 x night eggs
- 250 – night staff
- 260 – night seed pack
- 290 – 2 x night egg
- 320 – 3 x night eggs
- 350 – night seed pack
- 360 – 3 x night staffs
- 390 – 5 x night seed packs
- 430 – 3 x night eggs
- 530 – owl pet
If you obtain 160 Lunar Points, Wise Old Owl will gift you the Kiwi pet, and 160 points is a relatively easy feat.
There are three pets in total you can get via the Lunar Glow Event; the hedgehog, the kiwi and the owl.
The kiwi is brown with yellow feet and beak, and black eyes.
I don’t know if there will be a way to get hold of the kiwi once the Lunar Glow event disappears, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens to the kiwi and owl pets, as you can hatch the hedgehog inside the Night Eggs, but you can’t hatch the owl or kiwi.
What Are The Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Kiwi Pet?
If you purchase the in-game eggs within Grow A Garden, you’re going to want either the kiwi pet, or the blood kiwi pet, as they’ll both help you.
With this standard kiwi, from the Lunar Glow Event, every 60 seconds, it runs over to an unhatched egg you have, sits on it, sings and then quickens the egg hatching time by 25 seconds.
It does give you a ping noise every 60 seconds, after it sits on one of your eggs, which to me, is a little bit annoying, but it’s nice that it quickens the egg hatching time by 25 seconds, which is particularly useful for the rarer eggs, as they have longer hatching times.
The Blood Kiwi does quicken the time by 45 seconds, which is a big upgrade on this kiwi, but both kiwis are helpful nonetheless, if you use the in-game eggs.
If you don’t purchase the eggs, the kiwi pet isn’t going to give you any in-game benefits.
