Garden Horizons introduced the Manny’s Mishap weather event during the admin abuse on Saturday, for the drop of the “Console update“.
It was a fun event, and we only got to do it once. The Garden Horizons devs have now introduced the Manny’s Mishap event into the game, as an hourly event, which might be because of the negative response to the lack of content in the Console update. Keep on reading to find out all about the Manny’s Mishap event, the rewards, and if it is worth your time.

Every hour, on the hour, Manny’s event platform appears on the big wooden structure above the shops.
You can walk up to the wooden booth with Manny inside, and talk to him, and he gives you a few options:
- Who are you?
- Turn in fruits!
- Show me the rewards!
- Goodbye.
*EDIT: Whilst writing this post, the devs actually updated the game, and changed how the event works, and most recently (12 minutes ago), the event was triggered, and you couldn’t now talk to him and cannot manually hand-in fruit, so please remember this post was written before the update V629*

On the hour, every hour, for literally only five minutes, spinning fruits/vegetables appear around the Seed Shop, Sell Shop and Gear Shop area.
Each fruit/vegetable lingers for a super short period of time, so you have to move quickly, and you have to walk into each spinning fruit to “collect” them.
There are three different fruits you can get, and each carry different point values:
- Corn – 1 point
- Apple – 2 points
- Cabbage – 3 points
When I first wrote this post, you could see a points total at the bottom of the screen, as shown above, but with the latest update (V629), you now don’t get a points tally box at the bottom of the screen, you cannot talk to Manny at all, and you cannot see the rewards pool menu anymore.

Here is a look at the rewards menu BEFORE they changed it again, and you can no longer see the rewards which is strange. People should be able to see the rewards, to know what they *could* earn for spending time in-game doing this event.

Here are the odds before they changed the event 30 minutes ago. I’m glad I was able to get a screenshot of what the rewards *used* to be:
- Harvest Bell – 55.6% chance
- Gardener’s Seed Pack – 44.4% chance
- Mushroom Seed – 41.7% chance
- Dawn Seed Pack – 27.8% chance
- Mango Seed – 27.8% chance
- Turbo Sprinkler – 27.8% chance
- Wheat Seed – 19.4% chance
- IGMA Seed Pack – 16.7% chance
- Royal Seed Pack – 11.1% chance
- Super Sprinkler – 8.3% chance
- Cabbage Seed – 8.3% chance
- Trowel – 8.3% chance
- Bamboo Seed – 2.8% chance

You have to be super quick to collect the corns, apples and cabbages, as they disappear super quickly.
Many of them appear in and around the fountain, including on the top of the fountain, so you get flung the second you try and get the fruit, which is annoying, as you only have 5 minutes to do the event.

You don’t have time to waste, it’s not like Grow A Garden, with their 10 minute events, so only get the fruit on the top of the fountain if it’s a cabbage worth 3 points, or you’re just literally wasting the very limited time.
With such a limited time, focus on looking for cabbages and apples, as they’re worth more than the one-point corns.
Mangos have supposedly been added to the event, with a 5% chance of spawning, and they give you 5 points, but I’ve not seen one mango at all today.

You need to hand in points to Manny, to get rewards. The more points you have, the more rewards you’ll receive.
Here, I received 1 x Dawn Seed Pack and 1 x Super Sprinkler, and I still had some points left in the box at the bottom of the screen.
*Again – the event has been changed since writing this. You can no longer talk to Manny, and you can’t hand in your fruits manually. Now, you only get rewards at the end of the event with a notification on the screen, so don’t waste time climbing the stairs to Manny, as you cannot interact with him anymore since the change*

With this points hand-in, I got 2 x Gardener Seed Packs.

When the event ends, the points you have left are auto handed in to Manny, so you won’t miss out, if you weren’t able to hand them all in.
Here is a screenshot of the auto submit feature, where I received 1 x Gardener Seed Pack and 1 x Mushroom Seed, for my remaining points.

Now the event has been updated, again, you cannot hand your fruits into Manny. You don’t get the points tally at the bottom of the screen, like I mentioned above.
Instead, you just spend the 5 minutes running around collecting the fruits, and at the end, you get this notification to tell you everything you got as rewards, for the fruits you’d collected.
In this instance, I got the following rewards for spending the full 5 minutes collecting apples, corns and cabbages:
- 1 x Bamboo Seed
- 1 x Turbo Sprinkler
- 1 x IGMA Seed Pack
- 1 x Tomato Seed
- 1 x Royal Seed Pack
- 1 x Super Sprinkler
- 1 x Rose Seed
- 1 x Apple Seed
- 4 x Harvest Bells
As you can see, the rewards have been massively buffed. There are now rewards we didn’t have before (like the seeds), and you get way more rewards for the time spent. To be completely honest, it wasn’t worth your time before, but now it really is.
All of these rewards for just 5 minutes of walking around is amazing. I wish you could still see how many points you were on, but maybe it doesn’t matter now, as you just get random rewards from the rewards pool?
I wanted to include some of the patch notes from the Discord, just incase you wanted to know what the devs had posted about the new version of the Manny’s Mishap event:
- Manny Mishap reward pool expanded with additional seeds and gear.
- Other players can no longer take your fruits during Manny Mishap
- Manny Mishap score capped per event.
I also saw a mod confirm that you now get a reward for every “10 points instead of 12”, so you do get rewards more often, and they’ve also added an upper limit for how many fruits you can collect to prevent cheaters.
I think this event is definitely worth doing now, as the rewards are more than worth it for just 5 minutes of work. When you compare it to the Grow A Garden Harvest Party Event, this event is amazing, and you’re actually rewarded very nicely for participating.
