Grow A Garden has officially announced their new update coming this Saturday, July 5th, and it’s the mega exciting Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update.
Jandel did a TikTok early last week, as a reply to a comment he’d had from a follower, asking for a prehistoric update, and he confirmed that he would be doing a whole prehistoric update, and it’d be launching this weekend.
This update is going to be potentially, the most exciting, as Jandel has announced that we are getting a new plant that is worth more than the Candy Blossom.
We are getting a brand new quest to replace the harvest (thank god), called the Dino Quest. Keep on reading to find out more about the Grow A Garden Dinosaur Update…

Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update
Grow A Garden team officially announced this Saturday’s update, and it’s called the Prehistoric Event, and they posted the following announcement:
“History roars to life! Explore the Prehistoric Event Packed with dino-sized surprises and all kinds of relics from a forgotten age…
Explore and participate in the all new Prehistoric event while also discovering/unlocking a seed better than the Candy Blossom, multiple other seeds, pets, and so much more in the Grow A Garden update! 🌿🦖🦴🦕
We just got the Mega Harvest Update this past Saturday, as a second part of the harvest update that launched on the Saturday previous.
With the Mega Harvest Update, we have to work collectively to hand over summer fruits, to gain points, and with the points, we can get gifted a collection of rewards (see all of the rewards here), as well as earning summer coins, which we can spend in the Summer Shop via Georgia.
What is interesting, is that Grow A Garden aren’t just calling this the prehistoric update. They’re calling it the prehistoric event, which suggests the harvest event will be replaced by the new Prehistoric Event.
Grow A Garden has launched a number of “event” type updates, and whenever the word event is used, it means a new display in the center of the field, and it’s an event we have to grind towards.
Here are some examples of previous events we’ve had to work for:
- Hungry Plant Event
- Lunar Glow Event
- Bizzy Bees Event
- Bizzier Bees Event
- Harvest Event
- Mega Harvest Event
Sometimes, we get two event platforms in the center of the field; like when we got the Bizzy Bees platform, and then the Bizzy Bears platform, positioned next to eachother, so you could do the Honeycombpressor task, and the Bizzy Bear tasks at the same time.
So, potentially the harvest event could continue, with the new prehistoric event platform being positioned next to it, but I really hope we lose the harvest event, as it’s so repetitive and boring, and after two weeks, I think we’re kinda over it. I know I am, and I can’t wait to shovel my millions of tomato plants.

Kicking things off, we’re getting a brand new seed pack, and it is likely that the new seed that is supposed to be *better* than Candy Blossom, is going to be in this new seed pack.
It’s named the Exotic Ancient Seed Packs, and they’ll be available via the Shop, and will sell for the following price:
- +1 Exotic Ancient Seed Pack – 199 Robux
- +3 Exotic Ancient Seed Packs – 575 Robux
- +10 Exotic Ancient Seed Packs – 1699 Robux
If past seed packs are anything to go by, we’ll probably get six new seeds within these Ancient themed seed packs, and the rarest seed within the pack is likely to be the seed that is better than Candy Blossom – so exciting!

We are getting a brand new quest, called the Dino Quest, which I believe is going to have a similar set-up to the Lunar Glow Event, where we had a Reward Track of prizes, and you gained points for participating, and the more points you got, the more prizes you got.
I know we’re getting a Dino Quest, because they’re launching something called “Restart Dino Track” – which is like the Lunar Glow Event, where you could pay 500,000 sheckles to redo the reward track, after you’d finished, and it’s going to cost 149 Robux.
PLUS, there’s a paid option called “Skip Dino Quests” which is 89 Robux, which might be like the Bizzy Bear Quest, where you could skip steps in the quest to progress onto the next section.

Our next sneak peek comes directly from Jandel himself, and here, he showed us exactly what the event display is going to look like in the center of the field, with the Summer Harvest display finally leaving (I couldn’t be more happy), and a whole new dinosaur themed display, which is double-sided, which reminds me of the Lunar Glow display we used to have with Wise Old Owl and Baby Owl.
The center display is going to be dinosaur themed, and it looks SO cool! In the above photo, we can see the center display as looking like sand, and a dig site, and there are two displays, pointing in each direction.
There is also an option for crafting, so maybe we will be able to craft dinosaur related things on one side of the display?

In this first display, we can see the “DNA Machine” next to a stall named “Dinosaur Eggs”, and this stall is run by a man called Graham – and he’s the dude with the goggles in the promotional photo.
![Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/IMG_0380.jpeg)
On the DNA machine, it says trade pets for dinos, and Jandel showed us how the machine works.
He gave an unwanted pet, and he chose a rooster pet, and handed it in to the DNA machine, and after 5 seconds, the machine gave him TWO dinosaur eggs as a reward for giving the unwanted rooster pet.
When you interact with “Graham”, he gives you a few options:
- Who are you?
- What pets should I… (can’t see the full sentence)
- Take this pet
- Nevermind

While the DNA machine is working, you can see a DNA strand in the middle of the machine, spinning around, and after five minutes, the reward appeared on the white table in front of the DNA machine.

Here you can see, Jandel got two dinosaur eggs as a reward for donating his unwanted rooster pet.
I presume these eggs will be eggs we place in our gardens, and once they hatch, they give us a dinosaur pet.
It’s going to be SO cool to be able to offload unwanted pets and get dinosaur eggs as a reward!
Especially as pet trading is currently disabled – and I’m thinking it was disabled for this event, so people could give their unwanted pets to the DNA machine, to get free dinosaur eggs, rather than a glitch…

We got a brand new weather event for the update, and it’s the Sandstorm weather event, which can give your fruit a Sandy mutation, which turns the fruit into a sandy yellow color, with a multiplier of x3. Find out more about that new weather event here.
![Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/MUTATION-SPRAY-AMBER.jpg)
We are getting a brand new mutation spray, and this one is called the Mutation Spray Amber, which is so cool.
It’s going to be a spray that we can mutate singular fruits to have the Amber mutation, and I can’t wait to see what fruits will look like, once they have the amber mutation, plus, what the multiplier will be.

In the promo photo, we can see two dinosaur pets coming our way. The brown dinosaur is a T. Rex, and the green dinosaur is a Velociraptor, and this update is insanely well-timed, seeing as the new Jurassic World Rebirth movie debuted today.
It is possible that we might get a change to the map, as we can see sand/dirt as the floor in this photo, so maybe the field within the server will be transformed, to give a new map design. It would be so cool if this happened, and maybe if our gardens also had like a sand/dirt effect instead of the grass.
![Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/IMG_0353.png)
We can also see a character in a white coat, with yellow goggles, which could be a paleontologist character that will be the mascot for the Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update, like we had Bizzy Bear and Wise Old Owl as the two mascots for past events.

Jandel has pretty much confirmed, on his TikTok, that we’re going to be getting save slots, allowing us to own more than one garden within Grow A Garden.
This means, we can only multiple gardens, rather than trying to fit in every plant in the one garden, and we can have one garden as a “grindy” garden, for the updates and events, but then another garden where we focus on mutations and high-value crops and plants.
I don’t know how many save slots we’ll get, but it’s going to be so cool to have multiple gardens, especially if we can have different pets in each garden, to free up some of our pet inventory slots (which totally need to be expanded seeing as have so many pets in the game now.

When it comes to the Grow A Garden Dino Update weather events, they have got the brand new Meteor Strike weather event, but I don’t believe they’ve gone live with this event yet.
When this event happens, the sky goes bright red (similar to the volcano weather event), and brown meteors speed through the air and hit random points in the gardens in the server, and if it does hit your crops, it will give your crops the “meteoric” mutation.
This would be so cool for the dinosaur event, as it kinda links in with the asteroid that caused the extinction of dinosaurs.
I can’t wait to see the event, and see all of the new dinosaur pets we’re going to get. I’ll update this post whenever more information is shared!
