When the summer update dropped in Grow A Garden, it brought with it, a whole new event to replace the bee swarm event.
The bee swarm event pollinated your crops, and you had to exchange these pollinated crops for honey, which you could then spend in the Honey Shop.
The new Grow A Garden Harvest event is such a grind, and happens on the hour, every hour, and lasts for just ten minutes. The rewards, however, are definitely worth the grind. Keep on reading to find out more…
What Is The Grow A Garden Harvest Event?
The harvest event happens on the hour, every hour, and for ten minutes, you need to hand over summer fruits to Georgia, the farmer stood next to the cart in the center of the map.
Originally, you had to hand over your fruit one-by-one via the cart, but that was seriously awful planning, and insanely monotonous, but now, thankfully, you can talk to Georgia, and click to hand over all summer fruits in one go.
You can hand over any of the following fruit:
- Carrots
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Tomatoes
- Watermelons
- Cauliflower
- Watermelon
- Green Apple
- Avocado
- Banana
- Pineapple
- Kiwi
- Bell Pepper
- Prickly Pear
- Loquat
- Feijoa
- Sugar Apple
- Wild Carrot
- Pear
- Cantaloupe
- Rosy Delight
- Parasol Flower
- Elephant Ears
Each of these fruits have a score attached to them, and for each fruit you add from this list, you get awarded a number of points, and the points are collectively added together, with everyone in your server, and displayed on the wooden board in front of the cart.
As your score increases, the description of the reward increases. It starts at common rewards, and then increases to uncommon, rare, legendary, mythical, divine and prismatic, the more fruit you add.
The key is to add more of the fruit that have a higher number of points, so your total score increases quicker, but it’s a heck of a lot of back and forth harvesting fruit, and adding it to the cart, over and over again, until the 10 minutes is up.
As soon as the 10 minutes is up, the music stops, and you get notifications in the center of the screen to tell you which rewards you won.
The rewards are 100% random, and sometimes you can add 14,000 points or more, and end up with just a couple of prizes, which sucks, but on the flipside, you can also end up with prize after prize.
You don’t have a chance unless you participate, so don’t let it put you off participating again, if you only ended up with a couple of rewards at the end.

Next to the cart, on the event display in the center of the field, you can click the wooden board to see the rewards.
It gives you a list of pictures, but it doesn’t actually tell you what each item is.

I have won every single one of these prizes, through doing the harvest so many times, and my favorite prizes have to be the Moon Mango Seed, which was on sale for 1 billion sheckles each, for a super limited time in the Twilight Shop, the Moon Cat (which is one of my top 5 fav pets in the game), the Night Egg and the Night Seed Pack.
I absolutely loved the night eggs and night seed packs, which we won by doing the Lunar Glow Event with the owl, by completing the reward track.
During the event, I managed to get one moon blossom seed, and I’ve wanted more ever since, so I’m praying I get another moon blossom seed through the night seed packs, but they’re such a rare reward, it’s probably unlikely.
The night egg pets are all amazing, so they’re an amazing reward, as well as the moon melon and Easter egg seeds – both super limited edition seeds.
If you haven’t yet done the harvest event, make sure you do, as the rewards are so worth it!
