We got six brand new pets in the Grow A Garden Prehistoric Dino Update, and all six pets are different dinosaurs, with some really cool benefits and abilities. The raptor is just one of the six pets you can potentially hatch, and keep on reading to find out all about the brand new Raptor pet…

What Is The Grow A Garden Raptor Pet?
The Raptor is one of six pets you can hatch from the new Dinosaur Egg.
There are two ways in which you can get a Dinosaur Egg:
- You can earn one Dinosaur Egg every 12 hours as part of the daily Prehistoric Quest
- You can get a Dinosaur Egg prize when donating one unwanted pet to Graham with the DNA Machine (which takes 60 minutes to process)
Each Dinosaur Egg takes 4 hours to hatch, and has a beige design, with a white dinosaur skull on the front, and straw at the base of the egg.
Although the egg takes 4 hours to hatch, you can use some pets to help you quicken the hatching time, like the Rooster, Blood Kiwi, Kiwi and Bald Eagle.
Alternatively, you can skip the hatching time, by paying 49 Robux, which will let you hatch the egg instantly.
The Raptor pet is the most common dinosaur in the game, and is ranked as being Legendary with its rating.
It has an olive green color, with short arms, a long pointed tail and black eyes, and walks quickly around your garden.
This Raptor pet is the most common within the DNA Machine task with Graham, the NPC, as you hand over one unwanted pet, and after 60 minutes, the DNA Machine will either give you a fully grown dinosaur pet, or 1, 2 or 3 Dinosaur Eggs.
You can get other fully grown dinosaurs from the DNA Machine, but the Raptor is the most common by far.

What Does The Grow A Garden Raptor Pet Do?
If you have the Raptor pet equipped in your garden, it gives you a 2.83% chance fruits get the Amber mutation after collecting. Rarer plants have lesser chance to mutate.
Grants additional 15.03% increase to player movement speed.

When you’re harvesting your fruits within your garden, you can get a pop-up message to tell you that your harvest fruit or flower has been mutated to amber, and it reads:
“Mutated Harvest: Your Paradise Petal got: Amber”

It doesn’t work on fruits on plants/trees, and only works on picked fruits, and it is only a 2.83% chance, so it is rare, but you get the fun of getting amber mutated crops when harvesting.

When a fruit has the amber mutation, it puts your fruit or flower into a translucent amber colored cube, kinda like the cubes you get with the frozen mutation.
It really does look cool on the fruits, and it gives your fruits a x10 multiplier, which is a really nice amount, and a nice extra for crops you’re already going to pick.
