Grow A Garden 2 is doing things a little differently to how they did/do things in the original Grow A Garden. With the original Grow A Garden, we get weekly updates and weekly admin abuse.
However, with Grow A Garden 2, they’re introducing new items and mechanics to the game randomly. We got the new Strawberry Sniper gear item only a few days ago, and today they introduced a brand new pet to the game; the Turtle.

The Turtle costs $70,000 sheckles, and is a brand new pet that you can randomly find spawning around the map.
I didn’t find a Turtle for hours within my own private server, so I did a couple of server jumps and found one in minutes. If you too haven’t been able to find a Turtle spawning in your server, try jumping into a couple of public servers and see if you’re able to find one.
The Turtle is a Rare rarity pet, so it shouldn’t be hard to track down. It is the same rarity as the Deer, and isn’t too expensive at $70,000 either.

The Grow A Garden 2 Turtle pet looks extremely similar to the original Grow A Garden Turtle pet (read about the original Grow A Garden Turtle here).
They have the same colors and shell design, but the Grow A Garden 2 Turtle does have a cuter face with a smile, cheeks and sparkly eyes, whereas the original Grow A Garden Turtle has just black rectangular dots for eyes and two black dots for its nose.

In the original Grow A Garden, the Turtle was a Legendary pet from the Legendary egg, and its ability was to make your sprinklers last longer, when placed in your garden.
For the Grow A Garden 2 Turtle pet, it has a completely different ability;
“Lugs a heavy shell that adds +10 backpack space, but slows your walk speed by 2.“
With this new pet, it’ll allow you to carry an extra 10 backpack slots for fruit, which is super handy when harvesting, especially when you want to harvest as much as possible to take advantage of the Daily Deal feature (once a day) in the Sell Shop.
However, the Turtle will slow your walking speed down by 2. There is a way to counteract that part of the pet’s ability, as the Rabbit increases your speed by +5.
You can equip up to six pets at one time, and for each Turtle you equip, you’ll gain +10 backpack slots for fruit, and slow your speed by 2. If you equip one Rabbit for each two Turtles, you’ll negate the speed decrease.
As each Turtle increases your backpack slots by 10, you could always have them in your inventory rather than having them equipped at all times, and just equip them before you do a big fruit collect.
