The Grow A Garden Bizzy Bee update launched on the 31st of May, which gave us lots of amazing pollen and honey themed items and features within the game.
My personal favorite part of the update is the five new bee themed pets, but we have something extra coming our way.

With the Bizzy Bee update, on the hour, we get a “bee swarm” for ten minutes, where bees fly in and out of the beehive on the event platform in the center of the field.
During the ten minutes, these bees will pollinate crops in your garden, and the amount of crops you get pollinated is between 13 and 22 pollinated crops, from my experiments.
You have to hope that the bees are going to pollinate your prized, biggest, mutated crops, but there’s no way to influence where the bees will pollinate.
With thunderstorms, we can use lightning rods to direct the lightning towards our most special crops, but right now, there’s nothing we can do for the pollination mutation.
Grow A Garden has given us a sneak peek of a brand new tool coming to the game, and it’s called the Pollen Radar.

The Pollen Radar is a handheld radar, which you use to find where your pollinated crops are within your garden.
In the video, we can see that when you click on your chosen area within your farm, yellow circles surround you to show you the area the radar has blasted.
Once the yellow circles fade, you then see orange splatters on all of the crops within the radius of those yellow circles, so you can see the crops that have had the pollen mutation applied to them.
This is such a fun addition to the game, and right now, we don’t know when it’s going to be launching, but we do know it’s coming soon, perhaps part of the Bizzy Bee update amendments Jandel, the creator, announced:
- Reduce honey machine time,
- Queen bee stock 30mins,
- Bring back night as an event (+ meteoer)
So, whenever these amendments happen, I imagine this will be when we get the pollen radar, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one.

The pollination mutation gives you a multiple of 3x, and by using the pollen radar, we’ll be able to see which of our crops get the pollination mutation, and it looks like we’ll get 5 uses for each purchase of the pollen radar.
It is bound to be a pricey gear, and will likely launch inside the Queen Bee honey shop, and we’ll exchange our honey coins to purchase these radars, hopefully very, very soon.
