During the Grow A Garden Blood Moon Event launch, on May 17th, the game launched three brand new pets, which were different to their other pets, because they were available to purchase individually, and not obtainable via eggs. If you’d like to find out all about the Grow A Garden Blood Owl pet, keep on reading…

How To Get The Grow A Garden Blood Owl
The Blood Owl is a super rare pet within the game, and is only available during a blood moon event (which is ending on May 31st).
It’s rare to find a blood moon event during the on-the-hour moon events anyway, as it’s only a blood moon 33% of the time.
However, there are three blood moon pets, and the stock is rotated, so you’ll often find the Blood Hedgehog or Blood Kiwi in stock, but the Blood Owl is the more elusive pet, and is very often out of stock.
As it’s not an egg pet, you can purchase the Blood Owl (if you ever find it in stock) for 60,000,000 (sixty million sheckles).
The design is amazing, with a brown owl but with neon red glowing eyes and a red glowy aura surrounds it as it walks/flutters around your garden.
I love the attention to detail, and it is the most expensive pet within the blood moon shop.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Blood Owl
Seeing as the Blood Owl is so rare, you have the status of owning such a rare pet, and it was only available for such a short time – two weeks in total, by the time the blood moon event disappears.
However, the best part about this version of the owl (there are three different owls within the game), is that for every pet you have equipped in your garden, they gain 0.5 XP per second.
This means, your pets will level up super quick by having this owl in your garden.

Levelling up means you’re able to trade in pets with Raphael at the pet shop.
When you trade in pets, you’re able to unlock extra pet equip slots, allowing you to have more pets (and their benefits) in your garden.
You can also unlock extra egg hatching slots in your garden, but for me, it’s all about the pet slots, so you can have more pets helping your garden and earning potential.
Right now, I have three Blood Owls, a Dragonfly and a Mooncat, and the owls are leveling up the dragonfly and mooncat amazingly well.
