If you are in the Dress To Impress Discord, or you’re a member of the Dress To Impress Subreddit, you will have probably seen a fair few posts recently about Dress To Impress introducing lower prices for their gamepasses. There’s been quite a lot of confusion on the pricing, and I’m going to explain what exactly happened.

The new Dress To Impress pricing change happened to coincide with April 1st, and the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update, which was most unfortunate, as DTI, for a joke, changed the name of the game to “Dress To Impress: FREE VIP “, so people thought it was a joke.
Well, it’s not a joke, they have changed the prices, but not for everyone, and it isn’t actually Dress To Impress that changed the pricing; it was Roblox.

Here’s the official statement from Dress To Impress:
“Hi all – there seems to be some confusion about this so just for clarification:
Roblox is experimenting with Regional Pricing. This means that prices show differently depending on your country (for example, in countries where the currency value is lower, prices show lower, like you would expect to see from other games or when you buy a product in a shop and it’s not the same price in every country).
We did NOT change our gamepass prices. We apologise for the confusion, we weren’t able to share this yet.
Thank you!“
Some companies offer tiered pricing based on a customer/players’ geolocation. In the developed countries such as North America and Western Europe, the prices tend to be higher than those in developing countries.
So, if you’re based in a country where the currency value is lower than say the USD, GBP or Euro, you could potentially see lower Robux prices within the Dress To Impress store. You would need to click the “shop” icon on the left side of the screen to see what pricing you have.
I’ve seen screenshots of varied prices in different countries, so it looks like the prices really do differ depending on where you are located.
Here are some examples of pricing in different countries:

I do understand why some players are upset, as the prices vary so differently, and some have obviously purchased the passes and Robux items at full price, but it’s not Dress To Impress’ doing, it’s Roblox that made this change with their “experimenting with regional pricing”.
As the wording does say “experimenting”, it’s hard to know when the prices will go back to normal, or if they will at all. They might not find it a successful experiment, and the prices will go back to normal, we just don’t know.
So, if there are discounted prices on your account, and you want them, I’d recommend getting them if you can, incase the prices revert back to their usual prices.
