We are all super excited about the upcoming Grow A Garden Farm Cosmetics update, which is launching this coming Saturday.
It’s even more exciting that we only had the Zombie Chicken update last weekend, and now we have another update to look forward to.
If you’d like to find out more about this “cosmetics” update, keep on reading…

To announce the Grow A Garden Cosmetics Update, they released the above image, showing a little crate at the front, with five items that have been blacked out, so we can see the outline, but not the items inside the crate.
For the update, the Grow A Garden team announced this message:
Time to spruce up your garden with an update jam-packed with awesome ways to customize your farm! Join us this update to unlock and bring to your garden a huge assortment of cosmetic items. From friendly garden gnomes to impressive water fountains, this Grow a Garden update is for those who are ready to take their garden aesthetics to the next level
So, in that announcement, they literally mention garden gnomes and water fountains, so they are two definite items we are going to be getting in the update.
However, they also said they’re giving us a “huge” assortment of cosmetic items, which is very exciting, to make our gardens more personalized, and perhaps better layouts and sections? I would so love to be able to divide up the beds, for more sectioning, for themes – the possibilities are endless.

In this promo photo, however, you can actually see some of the items we’re getting in this update. It has been intentionally blurred out, but there are multiple definite things we can see.
Firstly, on the right side of the image, there is a stack of hay bales, which look like they’d be perfect for a farm aesthetic. I can see a stack of hay bales, but there also appears to be a singular bale too, so maybe we can choose the stack option, or just singular bales too?
Also, on the right side, right next to the hay bales, we can see a bird bath. It looks like it could be stone effect, with the blue water in the top, for birds to drink from, which would be super cute.
Moving onto the left side of the image, at the front, we can see a beautiful, ornate water fountain, with the same blue color as the bird bath, so we know they’re both water-based features for our farms.
Behind the water fountain, there’s something a little surprising and unexpected, as it doesn’t really go with anything else in-game (yet), but it’s a blue and white summer parasol, like you’d see at the beach, or around the side of a pool.

To promote the brand new Grow A Garden Farm Cosmetics Update, the team launched Mysterious Crates, which are only available via the Blood Moon Shop, which launches in the Zombie Chicken update.
These crates cost 10,000,000 sheckles each, and you get this pop-up image when you go anywhere near one of the crates, with the countdown timer until the update launches, plus blacked out images for six items, with question marks underneath.
So, I think each crate will contain one of these six items, and you won’t know what you get, until you are allowed to open the crate, once the update drops on Saturday (click here to see the launch time for your time zone).
In the image, it looks like there are three different garden gnomes – could they be pet gnomes? That tend to the garden for you? I doubt they’d just be statues for 10,000,000 sheckles, but we just don’t know yet.
There is a wooden bench, which looks like a potting bench, as well as a handcart, and the water fountain I mentioned above.
It’s all very intriguing. I can’t wait to see how much personalization we’ll be able to do within our gardens.
Will there be a new shop section for all of these items? I think there will be, I think we’ll get a new stand to go with the Seed Shop, Gear Shop, Pet Shop and Sell Stuff stands, and this could be where we go to buy the garden customization items/options.
We don’t have long to wait, and I’m so excited to see how we are going to be able to personalize our gardens!
