The Garden Horizons team has announced their first official update since the game launched on Sunday. We know that Garden Horizons isn’t going to have regular new updates like Grow A Garden (I’ll share screenshots within this post), but this is the first ever update they’re doing, and they’re doing an admin abuse session, which is very exciting.

Seizure Salad announced the first ever Garden Horizons update inside the official Garden Horizons Discord, and confirmed we’re going to be getting an update as well as some admin abuse.
Ever since Garden Horizons launched on Sunday, the devs have updated the team a lot since the launch, with little tweaks and improvements. The servers are getting reset multiple times a day, whilst they patch bugs and make improvements.

One of the server resets today, approximately 15 hours ago, came with patch notes within the updates channel, and Ymir said “a new structure has been added”.
Behind the Sell Shop and Seed Shop, a big staircase of wooden stairs appeared, which, when you climb them, there’s a big wooden platform at the top with benches scattered around the outside.
It is highly likely that this platform is going to be the event platform that they’ll use for events and updates, as it doesn’t detract from the garden vibes all over the map.

For the Garden Horizons Update announcement, Seizure Salad posted this:
“Something on the island isn’t right. Someone’s been watching.”
I think this all ties into the cave quest and the clues around the map, with the Morse Code and hidden Easter eggs.
The Morse Code message, when translated, said “Coordinates received, convoy inbound”. Which suggests they’re referring to whoever the “someone” is within Seizure’s announcement message.
It’ll be interesting to see who the someone is, and what the “something on the island isn’t right” is referring to.
We never had any type of lore within Grow A Garden, so it’s kinda fun to have something so new and unique. It reminds me of the crazy and detailed lore with Dress To Impress and Lana, which got so many more people interested in the game, as it wasn’t just a dress-up game.

With Grow A Garden, we always got weekly updates, and when asked if Garden Horizons would be doing the same, Seizure Salad confirmed no, they wouldn’t updating the game weekly, but there will be new content weekly.
Hopefully the “new content” they do weekly, will keep players interested and keep them wanting to log back in, even if there’s not going to be weekly updates.

As well as being a new update and admin abuse, we *should* be getting a trowel within the update too. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a gear item more than I do a trowel.
It is so annoying to not be able to move any plants whatsoever right now. Sometimes, trees and plants grow pretty huge (just like Grow A Garden), and one of my Plum trees turned out massive, and has pretty much covered every other one of my Plum trees, and it’s a nightmare trying to harvest the fruits.
It’ll also be so helpful to make our gardens look prettier and better designed, rather than random plants all over. Fingers crossed that it is this Sunday that we’ll be getting a trowel.
There have been over 1000 messages posted in the Garden Horizons Discord server since it started, with the word “trowel” in it, so it’s pretty obvious we are all dying to get our hands on a trowel as soon as possible.
It’s amazing how responsive the Garden Horizons devs have been about it though, they acknowledged the need for one, and almost instantly confirmed that they’d make one – if only other Roblox developers were as responsive.
How To Prepare For The Garden Horizons Update and Admin Abuse
Now we know the first ever Garden Horizons update is coming, and the first ever official admin abuse event, there are a few things you can do to prepare yourself and your garden.
Firstly, work on building up as much Shillings as you can before Sunday. You want to be able to afford any new seeds or gear items in the two permanent shops, and we don’t know if there will be an event shop, with limited edition seeds or gear items.
To make the most money, plant Cabbages, Wheat, Beetroot and Onions AFTER placing 1 x Basic Sprinkler, 1 x Turbo Sprinkler and 1 x Super Sprinkler. In Garden Horizons, you have to place the seeds after the sprinklers and not before.
Single harvest crops are the biggest money maker, when used with sprinklers, and do not pick any of them until each individual plant has at least 5 mutations, especially Shocked and Starstruck, as they’re two of most valuable mutations.
Once you have a decent amount of mutations, you can sell them for crazy good money.
Before the admin abuse, I’d recommend the night before, picking every single crop you have fully grown, sell them, and start fresh so your crops are ready to collect all of the admin abuse mutations, and by selling them before the update, you’ll give your Shillings balance a boost.

What Time Does The Garden Horizons Update and Admin Abuse Start?
We don’t know what we’re going to get in the first Garden Horizons update, but we do have an official start time.
I have done the conversions for you, to cover as many time zones as possible, so you know when the Garden Horizons update drops, so you can join the game before it starts, so you get the OP mutations, potential shop restocks and of course, the brand new event.
Something to consider, the announcement page shows the admin abuse and update is 30 minutes long, and not an hour like Grow A Garden.
