Grow A Garden dropped their Fairy update this weekend, and it is genuinely my favorite Grow A Garden update to date.
We have a brand new egg, six new seeds (seven if you include the seed you can get as a reward for doing the quest), amazing new fairy-themed cosmetics and more. The Ladybug is one of the pets you can hatch from the new Enchanted Egg, but what does it do?! Keep reading to find out…

The Enchanted Egg is the newest egg to launch within Grow A Garden.
It’s a different egg to the usual Grow A Garden eggs, as you cannot purchase the egg with Robux in any way, which never happens.
There’s always a way we can use in-game currency or do a quest to earn the eggs, but there isn’t a pay to win option to buy the eggs, so you have to earn the eggs by doing the Wishing Well quest.
On the hour, fairies come and “glimmer” our crops, and we have to provide the glimmering crops to the wishing well, and by doing this, we earn rewards (eggs, seeds, crates, Fairy Targeters (staffs), Fairy Coins, Glimmering Mutation Sprays, Glimmering Radars and the Aurora Vine Seed).
The eggs and seed packs are some of the most common rewards, and if you get to the fifth level within the Wishing Well quest, you *can* get 3 x Enchanted Eggs at once, but you’re not guaranteed to get any specific reward within each level, as they all have different probabilities.
The Enchanted Egg allows you to hatch one of the following five pets:
- Ladybug – 50% chance
- Pixie – 29% chance
- Imp – 15% chance
- Glimmering Sprite – 5% chance
- Cockatrice – 1% chance
The Ladybug has the cutest design, with a bright red body, with black spots, black feet, a black face and black antenna. It scuttles along the floor, and is hard to spot in built-up gardens, as it’s so low to the ground.

What Is The Ability Of The Grow A Garden Ladybug Pet?
The Ladybug is the the most common pet to hatch from the Enchanted Egg, with a 50% chance.
When it comes to its ability, it’s kinda simple; all flower type plants grow 1.62x faster.
I know this sounds like an underwhelming ability, but it’s actually been quite handy with the Wishing Well quest, as it helps the flower plants grow quicker, and for me, that has been really helpful in growing the Burning Buds.

Burning Buds take a ridiculously long time to grow back, and you probably don’t want to plant 10 Burning Buds in your garden, so you have enough to hand in.
1.62x speed boost in flower plants isn’t bad, if you need your flower plants to grow quicker, but it’s not a pet I’d have down permanently in the garden, but it has been useful in boosting the growth of my Burning Bud plants.
