For the Grow A Garden Ghoul Garden Part 2 update, we didn’t get a new egg or chest, but we got something completely new, that we haven’t seen before.
The Halloween Gear Box is an item we can purchase from the Ghosty Gadgets stall, when the market appears on the hour, or we can get them as rewards for doing the Grave Digger minigame, or handing over Halloween mutated crops to the Ancient Jack-O-Lantern.
Inside the Halloween Gear Box, there are six different gear rewards you can potentially receive, and one of those items is the new Sugar Watering Can.
I love that Grow A Garden added something new to the game, with the Gear Box. We’ve had chests, which feature a mix of seeds and pets, but never an item that solely gives us gear items.
All of the items within the Halloween Gear Box don’t have an explanation or write-up anywhere in the game, like we do with pets, which is kinda crazy, as there’s nothing to tell us what each item does.
Inside the Halloween Gear Box, these are the six items you can get:
- Bland Jelly – 38.1% chance
- Dig Trinket – 23.81% chance
- Jack-o-Jelly – 23.81% chance
- Sugar Watering Can – 9.52% chance
- Pumpkin Lollipop – 3.81% chance
- Toffee Tether – 0.95% chance
The Sugar Watering Can has a 9.52% chance, with a Mythical rarity rating. It is a bright orange in color, with a black handle, black long spout, and a white rose (perforated head of the watering can). But what does it do?
I thought the Sugar Watering Can would perhaps only work on Halloween crops, as it is a Halloween Gear Box, but that’s not actually the case.
You can use the Sugar Watering Can on any type of crops and plants, and each use of the Sugar Watering Can speeds up the plant’s growth by 5% of the total growing time.
Which works very similarly to the Water Bucket in Plants Vs Brainrots, which I guess is where the inspiration came from, for this Grow A Garden Sugar Watering Can.
This is particularly helpful for growing Prismatic or Transcendent plants, as they’re the slowest-growing plants within the game.
I do think 5% of the growing time is kinda small considering it’s only a 9.52% chance to get from the Halloween Gear Box, but it does still make a noticeable difference when trying to grow plants quicker than the standard Watering Can within the game.
If you use the Sugar Watering Can with Pixie pets at the same time, the speed is greatly improved, so make sure you use them together if you’re trying to grow multiple plants at the same time, in the same area, as it’ll quicken the process even more.
