The Grow A Garden Mutation Machine is a lot of fun, allowing us to put our age 50+ pets into the machine, to mutate them into one mutation at random, from twelve different mutations.
Each mutation carries its own benefit, and we’re all trying to age our pets up superfast, so we can put them in the mutation machine. I have a tonne of blood owl pets, and I’ve had the Mega mutation a tonne of times, but today, I got the TINY mutation on my blood owl…

The Blood Owl was a pet you could buy fully grown from the Blood Moon Shop, without needing to hatch it.
When it comes to aging pets, the Blood Owl is one of the best pets, as it helps to increase the XP on every single pet in your garden, regardless of species.
The higher your pet’s XP is, the older the pet will get, and it’ll perform its specific ability more frequently, or more efficiently. Plus, the second your pet gets to 50, you can put it in the mutation machine.
Nani, my Blood Owl, got the Mega mutation in a previous session in the Mutation Machine, and I love the Mega mutation, as it makes the pet massive, but it also makes them gain XP super fast. This owl went from age 1 to age 50 in 24 hours, because of how quick it gains XP with the Mega mutation.

I’ve used the Mutation Machine a lot of times, and Tiny is one of the few mutations I’ve never had.
I’m glad it was a small pet that was made tiny, and not one of my titanic pets, as I would’ve been gutted, but this Blood Owl only has a hatch weight of 1.11kg, so it’s small anyway.

The Tiny mutation makes the pet extremely small, like comically small.
You can barely see it in my hand, but it becomes super tiny, and wow you can’t even see it when you put it down in your garden.

If you have a super built-up packed in garden, you’re never going to see any of the Tiny mutated pets.

At age 50, the Mega Blood Owl had the following ability:
“All active pets gain an additional 0.95 XP per second” but the Mega mutation gave it the following extra ability “gains an additional 10.83 XP per second”
Which is why it aged to 50 in 24 hours, so I was nervous about putting it into the machine again, as it does so well for XP for itself, but for my other pets too.
At age 1, the Tiny Blood Owl has the following ability:
“All active pets gain an additional 0.59 XP per second” and the Tiny mutation gave it the following extra ability “gains an additional 5.17 XP per second”
So, it’s a brutal decline in the ability, but the numbers will improve, as the Blood Owl ages up again towards age 50.

Here is what the Tiny Blood Owl looks like on the floor, it is crazy small.
There is one massive negative with the Tiny mutation, and that’s the fact you simply cannot click on the pet to give the pet any of the treats or toys, to boost the XP or passive abilities.
It’s so annoying that you can’t just feed the treats or toys to the pets via the menu. You can only do it by clicking on the pet, and when the pet is this tiny, it is absolutely impossible. I tried for over 20 minutes, and I just cannot give this owl a Levelup Lollipop, a Medium Treat or a Small Treat, which is so frustrating.
I don’t think pets would be this crazy small if they didn’t have such a small hatch weight, for example, any 2kg hatch weight pets will probably be clickable, but my 1.11kg Blood Owl is just too small, and I cannot wait to get him to age 50, so I can put him back in the mutation machine.
