It is official, the biggest Grow A Garden update is coming in less than two weeks, and it’s a bigger update than any of the other updates they’ve launched before.
It’s the Grow A Garden Summer Update, and Jandel; the creator of Grow A Garden, has given us some very exciting sneak peeks.
When Does The Grow A Garden Summer Update Launch?
The Grow A Garden Summer Update launches on Saturday, the 21st of June, and launches at 10am EST.
So, we have less than two weeks to wait for the biggest update in Grow A Garden’s history, and you can find the event page here.
In the reveal photo, we can see a Roblox character chilling on a blue and white striped sun lounger, with the Dog pet chilling on a matching sun lounger next to him, both of them wearing sunglasses.
So, it’s likely that we’ll get sun loungers as new cosmetic items within the update.
Plus, you can also see a cute little sandcastle on the floor next to the dog’s sun lounger, so that would suggest we’re going to get a sandcastle as one of the new cosmetic items too.
Whenever there’s an update, Jandel always does broadcast messages for the two hours before an update, and this is where you’ll experience the admin weather events like black hole and disco, so it’s always worthwhile logging on in the hours before and update, so you don’t miss anything.
An hour and a half before the update launched, Jandel posted the following message about the Grow A Garden Summer Event:
“All new seeds in the shop, new weather events, new mutations, its gonna make a bunch of the current plants so rare”
So we know all of the seeds are going to get a revamp, so hold onto the seeds while you can, because they’ll be soon discontinued, and you won’t be able to get them, so stock up on the old versions now while you can.
More excitedly though, we’re going to be getting all brand new seeds, so seeds we’ve never seen before, and I am so excited about that.
Make sure you’re stocking up on sheckles now, because you are sure going to need them, to be able to buy all of these amazing new seeds.
As well as ALL new seeds, there’s going to be brand new weather events, and we’ve seen a preview of two of them; a rainbow weather event, which I imagine will turn crops into the rainbow mutation, the tornado weather event, which will turn crops into the twisted mutation, and the shecklerain weather event, which I’m not entirely sure what it will do.

In the broadcasts about the update, Jandel also said we will replace seed shop, mutations and weather events, which are three mega changes.
However, we are also going to be getting new seeds, new pets, new gear items, and lots more summery surprises.
We are going to be able to collect new plants, which is so exciting.
We are getting a brand new weather event within the game, called Alien Invasion, which will make little teal UFOs in flying saucers drop from the sky into our farms, and if our crops get touched by them, they’ll get the AlienLike mutation.
We are also getting the Grow A Garden Harvest Event.
In this screenshot, you can see an announcement message on the screen:
“No one submitted to the Harvest… no rewards”
This is super exciting, because it means that the Grow A Garden Harvest Event is something every player in the server will have to contribute to, in order for players to get the rewards.
This gives more of a community feel to the game, and I imagine there will be a set list of items the whole server needs to hand in, and if the whole server does manage to do this, the whole server will get rewards.
We know that the Grow A Garden update is going to give us new seeds and pets, so maybe we’ll get new seeds and new pets, by working with other players to hand in fruits for the Harvest event.
Here is a sneak peek of what looks like some new Grow A Garden summer pets coming to the game.
We can clearly see an ostrich, flamingo, and maybe a capybara and alligator? It is hard to tell.
Also, it looks like we might be getting a parrot pet and a seagull pet too, as part of the summer update pet additions.
