This week’s new Grow A Garden update has been officially announced, and it’s the Beanstalk Event.
Several weeks ago, Jandel did a poll within the official Discord, asking players to choose between the Cooking Event and the Beanstalk Event.
The Cooking Event won the poll with 66% of the votes, and that was the update we had for the past two weeks, and now we’re going to have a two-week-long Beanstalk Event.

After the Kitchen Storm Update launched, Jandel posted a long message in the Discord, announcing that he’s starting a new “era” of Grow A Garden, and that new updates would be less regular, and they want to focus on quality of life improvements within the game.
The cooking event has been the least popular update the game has done, from reading the feedback within the official Discord, and I am personally looking forward to the event being replaced by the Beanstalk event, as it’s just so boring and repetitive.
I hate the waiting around doing absolutely nothing while your recipe “cooks”. I’ve never seen the online player count as low as it’s been over the last 10 days or so, which shows people just didn’t enjoy the cooking update, so hopefully this fresh and new Beanstalk Event will get people loving the game again.

When Jandel first floated the idea of the Beanstalk Event within the Discord, this was the description he gave:
“Every hour, all the players in the server convert fruit to fertilizer to grow a magical beanstalk. The beanstalk will grow taller and taller to reach the “Grow A Garden Giants” in the sky. These giants will give players unique rewards.”
Then, here is the official announcement of the Grow A Garden Beanstalk Event, which launches this Saturday:
“Beanstalk Event + Garden Guide! 🫛📖🔎
Beanstalk Event, grow & climb a beanstalk to unlock all kinds of new rewards like seeds, pets & other things + New ‘Garden Guide’, an index for plants, pets, & more. Track your collection, complete achievements, and level up your garden!“

As well as the Beanstalk Event, we’re getting a new feature within the game, and it’s the “Garden Guide”, which is an an index for plants, pets, and more. Allowing you to track your collection, complete achievements, and level up your garden.
It looks like it’s going to be similar to the “recipe book” next to Chris P, showing which recipes you’ve got so far.
These spoiler images were shared in the Dawn Discord, which I highly recommend joining – they have the best Grow A Garden Discord.
Here you can see all the different fruits in the game, and they’re greyed out with question marks on them, and I assume once you’ve planted each of these plants, and harvested a fruit, you’ll unlock each square, and you’ll need to unlock them all to achieve a “special reward”.

Here is a super exciting image to show us a brand new game quest feature, where we’ll have to complete Common Achievements (11 quests), Uncommon Achievements (12 quests) and Rare Achievements (17 quests).
At the top of the image, we can see a point counter of 10,000 points, and once you’ve achieved the 10,000 points, you’ll “unlock a HUGE reward” which is the Crismatic Fox.
The Crismatic Fox looks super similar to the red original Kitsune, except it’s wearing a crown, so this is a really fun way to get a super special pet as a reward for completing the achievements.
It’s going to be difficult to get, as you need 10,000 points, so finger crossed it has a crazy good ability to make it worthwhile for so much grinding.

Next up, we have the brand new egg, and it’s the Sprout Egg, which has a fun pale yellow and green design, with sprouts on each side of the egg, and a sprout appearing at the top of the egg.
We’ll be able to purchase the Sprout Egg from the Goliath’s Goods event shop, and maybe from the Grow A Garden Shop for Robux?

There are five different pets we can hatch from the Sprout Egg, and those pets are:
- Dairy Cow – 50% chance
- Jackalope – 31% chance
- Sapling – 12% chance
- Golem – 6% chance
- Golden Goose – 1% chance
The design on all five pets looks so cool, and it’s so nice to see the rarest pet being a 1% rarity, instead of 0.5% or 0.08% like the Kitsune.
1% is a lot easier to get, and the Golden Goose looks like a cool pet. Here are the abilities for the five brand new pets from the Sprout Egg:
- Dairy Cow: All plants within 10 studs grow 1.3x faster! When selling this pet: Has a small chance to get a Beanstalk seed!
- Jackalope: Every 100 seconds, thumps its feet and has a 15% chance to mutate a nearby fruit, applying the Sandy mutation.
- Golem: Every 5 minutes, goes to the mutation machine and tinkers with it and advances its time by 61 seconds!
- Golden Goose: Every 13 minutes, lays a Golden Egg plant that starts with the Fortune mutation. It can be harvested and mutates like other plants. Selling it may apply the Fortune mutation to a fruit in your garden!
We currently don’t know what the Sapling pet will do, but the other four pets all sound decent.
Although I know that personally, I’ll be selling every single Jackalope pet, as I hate the Sandy mutation. It ruins the look of every single plant, so that will not be going in my garden; although the Jackalope does look cute (a Jackalope is a mythical animal of North American folklore, and is a jackrabbit with antelope horns).

We are also getting another pet, but this is a pet we’ll purchase from the Event Shop (Goliath’s Goods) using sheckles, and it’s the Spriggan Pet.
The Spriggan Pet’s ability will be:
Occasionally spreads its roots and all nearby fruit have a chance to get the Bloom mutation.
The Bloom mutation is a brand new mutation, so this is a pet you’re going to want to get, so you can get the Bloom mutation on your most valuable fruit.

The new seed pack is called the Sprout Seed Pack, and we’ll be able to buy the seed packs in the Goliath’s Goods Event Shop for 10 million sheckles per pack, and within the Grow A Garden Shop for Robux for the Exotic Sprout Seed Pack, which will be priced as:
- 1 x pack – 199 Robux
- 3 x packs – 575 Robux
- 10 x packs – 1699 Robux
![Grow A Garden NEW Beanstalk Event Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/seedpackodd.png)
With this seed pack, there are six different seeds we can get:
- Flare Daisy – 40% chance
- Duskpuff – 25% chance
- Mangosteen – 20% chance
- Poseidon Plant – 10% chance
- Gleamroot – 4.5% chance
- Princess Thorn – 0.5%
![Grow A Garden NEW Beanstalk Event Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Princess-Thorn-Seed.jpg)
So, the Princess Thorn Seed is going to be the new 0.5% chance seed. In this image we can see a sneak peek of all the fruits of each seed, and they all look so cool.
![Grow A Garden NEW Beanstalk Event Update Revealed! [Spoilers]](https://www.durbinrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/fenceskins.png)
One of the most exciting additions is Fence Skins. In this image, we can see the standard Wooden Fence we all have, but there’s also a Jail Fence option, which is locked.
It would be amazing if the Jail Fence blocks other players from entering your garden, or stealing your fruit. I personally never play in public servers anymore, as I have so many crazy valuable fruits, and I don’t want them stolen.
With this new Beanstalk Event, we’re going to need to play with alt accounts, or in a public server, for the best rewards, but you don’t want to lose your best fruits.
So, hopefully the Jail Fence will actually stop other players from stealing any of your crops, but we don’t know if it’s just an aesthetic jail style fence, rather than being a functional jail fence.

The most exciting crafting recipe is being added to the crafting menu, and it’s the new Pet Pouch.
It’s a crafting recipe to increase your pet inventory slots by 1, and you can craft a maximum of 50 Pet Pouches, to increase your pet inventory by 50 slots.
That is incredible, as the max inventory slots right now is 85, and to get to that point, you have to have unlocked the extra slots with a traded-in age 20 pet, age 30 pet, age 45 pet and age 75 pet.
There are SO many pets within the game, that we have no choice but to have alt accounts for pet storage, but being able to unlock 50 extra slots will be a game changer. If you have the 85 pet slots now, unlocking 50 more slots will give you a total of 135 pet slots – amazing.
To craft one single Pet Pouch, you need:
- 1 x Common Egg
- 1 x HotDog (you need to cook the Hotdog in the cooking pot)
- 1 x Small Treat
- 1 x Small Toy
- 50 Million Sheckles
I have been turbo grinding HotDogs since the leak was shared, and I’m up to 32 HotDogs, so I’ll be ready to craft my 50 Pet Pouches as I am dying to get more pet inventory slots.
