The Grow A Garden Prehistoric Update officially launched, and there’s a brand new egg; the Dinosaur Egg.
With this update, we’re going to have to do some daily grinding to get the rewards, like the Dinosaur Eggs, Ancient Seed Packs, Dino Crates and more. If you’d like to find out all about the new Dinosaur Egg, and the pets inside the egg, keep on reading…

How To Get The Grow A Garden Dinosaur Egg
We cannot purchase the Dinosaur Egg with sheckles, but there are two ways in which you can earn the Dinosaur Egg as a reward.

Dinosaur DNA Machine
On the Prehistoric Event display in the center of the field, there’s a two-sided stand, and on one side you have Blaire that gives you the daily quest (it resets every 12 hours), and on the other side, there’s Graham.
If you talk to Graham, you have the option to donate one of your pets, and when you do this, over 60 minutes, the “DNA Machine” turns the donated pet into either a Dinosaur Egg or a fully-grown Dinosaur.
Once the 60 minutes is up, your reward will be sitting on the white table, and you’ll have to “claim” it, to receive it, and you can then donate another unwanted pet to Graham, and restart the 60-minute process again.

Daily Prehistoric Quest
If you talk to Blaire, Blaire will give you the option to participate in a daily quest.
Although it’s called the daily quest, the quest does reset every 12 hours, so you can do the quest twice every 24 hours.
It’s super important you do the daily quests, because you need to complete the task bar along the bottom, to unlock the new super valuable seed; the Bone Blossom.
The Bone Blossom Seed grows fruits that are more valuable than the Candy Blossom, so you do not want to miss out on unlocking this seed.

Each daily quest (every 12 hours) gives you three tasks you need to complete, and once you complete each of the three tasks, you get a reward:
- 1 x Dinosaur Egg
- 1 x Ancient Seed Pack
- 1 x Dino Crate
Your tasks could be planting a set amount of seeds (like 100 carrot seeds or 10 watermelon seeds), harvesting a set amount of fruit (like 10 coconuts or 5 dragon fruits), growing a pet to a specific age (it’ll be the dog, bunny or golden lab, and you’ll need to age them from 1 to 10 years) or you’ll have a crafting task (like crafting 1 x lightning rod or crafting 2 x amber mutation sprays).

If you do get a Dinosaur Egg as a reward, you’ll have to place it in your garden, and wait four hours for the egg to hatch.
The Grow A Garden Dinosaur Egg is beige, with a white dinosaur skull design on the front, with a straw like spiky design at the base.

With the Dinosaur Egg, you will hatch one of six dinosaur pets, and they all carry a very high resale value.
You cannot use the dinosaur pets to trade in with Graham and the DNA machine.
So, you have to sell them either at the Pet Egg Shop or the Sell Shop, or, if you have Seal Pets, you can try and get some free eggs when selling them, which is what I’m doing, to get even more free Dinosaur Eggs.
The six dinosaur pets inside the Dinosaur Eggs are:
- Raptor – 35% chance
- Triceratops – 32.5% chance
- Stegosaurus – 28% chance
- Pterodactyl – 3% chance
- Brontosaurus – 1% chance
- T. Rex – 0.5% chance
The most common dinosaur pet is the Raptor, while the rarest dinosaur pet is the T. Rex.
Let’s take a look at the abilities for each of the dinosaur pets…

Raptor (Legendary)
2.83% chance fruits gets the Amber mutation after collecting. Rarer plants have lesser chance to mutate.
Grants additional 15.03% increase to player movement speed.

Stegosaurus (Legendary)

5.33% extra chance for Prehistoric type fruit to duplicate (Stonebite, Paradise Petal, Horned Dinoshroom, Boneboo, Firefly Fern and Fossilight).

Triceratops (Legendary)
Every 3.33 minutes, rams into 3 random plants and advances their growth by 33.33 minutes.
Has a 15.75% chance to do it again each time.

Grants an additional 14.28% increase to player jump height.

Brontosaurus (Mythical)
