If you follow Dress To Impress on social media, you’ll have seen that they’ve given us all a super exciting sneak peek of the patterns that’ll be launching in the upcoming Spring Petal Update (which is only three weeks away).

Dress To Impress has done two sneak peek announcements today, which is very exciting.
The first announcement was the reveal of their official Spring The Petal Update logo.

It’s strange to see them reveal another logo, because they already shared a spring/Easter themed logo when they announced the new animated walks.
The other logo had Easter Eggs, spring blooms and a bunny, but this new logo has ditched the Easter references completely, which is disappointing.
I don’t know if people didn’t like the Easter references, or if it’s because the update is launching six days after Easter, they felt a more spring-themed logo was best.
Regardless, it’s a beautiful logo (the new one), and features pink writing over a rainbow background, with different butterflies, sunflowers, daisies, tulips and a rainbow over the top.
I can’t wait to see this logo on the loading screen within the game, once the update launches.
Now, let’s get onto the second announcement of today; the 20 new Petal update patterns.

To showcase the new patterns, Dress To Impress has shared this grid of patterns, with the new spring logo in the center.
You can see a slim rectangle of each new pattern coming in the spring update on April 26th, and there’s such a fun mix of patterns, and it looks like there’s an obvious theme for some of the patterns.
The first five patterns are very similar vibes to each other, and nothing like the other patterns, and they appear to have a baroque, lavish and ornate aesthetic, with the same scrolls, intricate floral and swirly patterns.
I do wonder if that’s going to be a theme for the spring update, because the three-piece set that M0toprincess shared (see that here) had the same vibe, with a mirror, headband and staff.
I really hope it does mean we’ll get some more period themed items (think Bridgerton and period dramas), and maybe some clothing to go with these patterns and accessories.
There are many patterns with a craft theme, with patchwork blankets, crochet patterns, tie-dye patterns, mosaic patterns and even a kitten ribbon pattern.
Maybe this could also suggest that we’ll see similarly themed clothing and accessory items to complement these patterns.
My favorite patterns have to be the pretty multicolored petals on the bottom row, and the crochet Granny Square blanket pattern – it’s just so cute.
I think these patterns are so much prettier than the Valentine’s Pattern Pack, and considering the Valentine’s Pattern Pack cost $4000 in-game currency (and is still available right now), I think this pattern pack will cost the same.
