The Grow A Garden Carnival Egg is the game’s newest egg, and can be earned from doing the Garden Games quests, which reset every 30 minutes.
As well as potentially earning Carnival Eggs, you can also earn Carnival Crates or a Kernel Curl seed. Inside the Carnival Egg, we have five brand new pets, and the Unicycle Monkey is the most common pet you hatch out of the new egg.
The Grow A Garden Carnival Egg is white, red and gold, with a little flag on the top and little stars on the sides.
Inside the egg, the five carnival-themed pets have the following rarities in the free version of the egg (the Premium Carnival Egg has different odds):
- Unicycle Monkey – 40% chance
- Performer Seal – 29.5% chance
- Bear On Bike – 20% chance
- Show Pony – 10% chance
- Carnival Elephant – 0.5% chance
With the Premium version of the egg, which you can buy using Robux or Trade Tokens, you have a chance at hatching a Rainbow Hatched egg, where you’ll get the Rainbow Hatched version of one of the five pets.
The Unicycle Monkey pet has a red unicycle, with a black tire, and the “monkey” is on the unicycle, like it is riding it, while wearing a yellow and red hat.
When placed in your garden, the monkey cycles around on its unicycle.
As the monkey is sat on the unicycle, it looks massive whenever you hatch one from an egg. I can’t imagine how big a titanic or godly version of the monkey would be.
We’ve had a lot of reskinned pets lately, and the monkey is another reskin. It is literally the Monkey pet, from the Rare egg, with the same colors and design, except it now has a party hat, and is sat on a unicycle.
Benefits Of The Grow A Garden Unicycle Monkey
The Unicycle Monkey has a 40% chance of being hatched from a free Carnival Egg, but what does it do? Not a lot.
“Grants 24.68% increased movement speed“
I have no idea why the devs gave us this ability. We already have two other pets that do the exact same ability – the Raptor (from the Dinosaur Egg), and the Grey Mouse (from the Mythical Egg).
I don’t think the devs could find one single Grow A Garden player that would want this ability in a pet, especially as we have the Raptor and Grey Mouse pets already. It’s just lazy, even more so when the pet is just another reskin (like the Seal, Bear and Elephant from this egg).
Sure, there are events where speed increases can help, but when we have the Grey Mouse available via the Mythical Egg permanently in the Egg Shop, what is the point in giving us another walk speed improving pet.
