If you love monkeys, we have two different monkeys within Grow A Garden, and they’re both pets you can obtain via eggs. The silver monkey is most definitely an upgrade on the standard monkey.
I’m going to tell you exactly how you can get one, the benefits of having a silver monkey equipped in your garden, and whether it’s a worthwhile pet to own.

How To Get A Grow A Garden Silver Monkey Pet
The standard monkey is available within the Rare Egg, which costs 600,000 sheckles.
However, the silver monkey is available via the Legendary Egg, which costs 3,000,000 sheckles.
Inside the Legendary Egg, you will hatch one of the following five pets:
- Cow (white and brown) 42.55%
- Silver Monkey (grey) 42.54%
- Sea Otter (brown) 10.64%
- Turtle (green) 2.13%
- Polar Bear (white) 2.13%
I am yet to hatch a turtle or polar bear myself, but I have had so many cows and silver monkeys.
The Grow A Garden silver monkey is white all over, with a gray face and gray feet, with a smiley face.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Silver Monkey
If you equip the silver monkey, it’ll give you an 8% chance that it’ll refund crops back to your inventory when trying to sell them.
When you’re selling your crops, you’ll get a pop-up message and ping sound, to let you know that the items were not sold, and you can then resell them again, to get duplicate sheckles for the same crops.
Whilst the chance is only 8%, I find that every time I sell my crops, I always get the pop-up message at least once for each whole inventory.
It’s helpful when you’re selling mutated fruit, so if I have an inventory of really good fruits/crops with multiple mutations, I equip the monkey in the garden for a couple of minutes, while selling my harvest, and then pick it up again, as there’s no passive benefit for having the monkey in the garden.

So, if you have any rare crops, or anything shocked or celestial to sell, make sure you equip the silver monkey prior to selling them, as you’ll get a decent chance that you’ll get to resell them, and double your money.
I don’t think it’s the most exciting pet, but it’s still handy to have when selling valuable crops.
