It is the second week of the Grow A Garden Safari Harvest update, and it’s the Safari Mega Harvest.
We got the Safari Egg in week one of the event, and for week two, we don’t have a chest, like we sometimes do with the second part of Grow A Garden updates, but we have got some new event shop pets.
The Grow A Garden Safari Shop has a whole host of items, which get unlocked the more community Global Safari Points we collectively earn as a community.
Before this update dropped, we had a bunch of seeds and gear items, but now we have several new pets, which we will *hopefully* unlock at some point this coming week.

The Grow A Garden Lion Pet is one of the new shop-bought pets we’ll be able to unlock this coming week, depending on how many Global Safari Points we earn.
There are several shop-bought pets coming our way:
- Gecko (unlocked after 130,000,000,000 points)
- Hyena (unlocked after 165,000,000,000 points)
- Cape Buffalo (unlocked after 195,000,000,000 points)
- Hippo (unlocked after 230,000,000,000 points)
- Crocodile (unlocked after 245,000,000,000 points)
- Lion (unlocked after 290,000,000,000 points)
As these six pets are all shop-bought pets, we can affect the weight of the pets by equipping eight Barn Owls.
Right now, we won’t be able to buy Lions until we’ve achieved 290,000,000,000 points, and there is a risk we won’t even be able to achieve that, especially now the Harvest All feature has been removed.
You can purchase the Lion with Robux, and it is 849 Robux.

What Does The Grow A Garden Lion Pet Do?
“Every 12:45 minutes, roars, calls pets in your garden to move toward it, 427.35 total cooldown advancement is shared across each pet (max 64.10s pet pet).
Every 21:44 minutes, roars and mutates fruit up to the number of Safari type pets you have in your garden with a random Safari mutation.“
My Lion was 2.84kg at “birth” thanks to my Barn Owls. Since I took my first screenshot, I have mutated my Lion with my Headless Horseman to Nightmare, and aged it up to 100, and the stats are now at 28.37kg:
“Every 8:02 minutes, roars, calls pets in your garden to move toward it, 601.47 total cooldown advancement is shared across each pet (max 90.22s pet pet).
Every 11:34 minutes, roars and mutates fruit up to the number of Safari type pets you have in your garden with a random Safari mutation.“

The Lion has a similar design to the Lemon Lion Brainrot pet we got from the Grow A Garden vs Steal A Brainrot admin abuse battle back in August.
When it comes to the ability, it’s a genuinely impressive pet, especially now we have the Elephant.
With the Elephant, we have to age our pets to age 50 (or age 40 if you have a RBH Elephant) for the Elephant to “bless” our pets and add 0.1kg to the base weight.
Aging pets from 1 to 50 is not an easy task, and that’s where cooldown pets are particularly helpful, as they help to speed up other pets that will be boosting the ages of our pets, like Sea Turtles, Dilos and French Fry Ferrets, for example.
The Lion does two benefits – the main being the ability to cooldown other pets in the garden, but it also has a mutation ability too, which is particularly helpful now we have the new Safari Mini Achievements within the Garden Guide.
I’m not fussed about the mutation element of the Lion, but the cooldown ability is amazing, and it lowers the cooldown of handy pets like French Fry Ferrets, Headless Horsemans and Elephants, and if you have a Peacock or Dilo, it will cool down the lion, so you end up with a chain where the peacock/dilo cools down the lion, the lion roars and cools down the other pets, which then cooldown the lion again.
The mutation ability of the lion cannot be refreshed, which I believe the devs have done to stop us smashing the achievements like we did with the Halloween achievements. But, the cooldown ability is the best part of the pet, so thankfully that part can be refreshed and cooled down.
