All Grow A Garden updates run for two weeks, with the first week being the launch of the event, and the second week always sees an expansion of the previous week’s update, and this Saturday sees the launch of the Grow A Garden Beanstalk Event Expansion Update.
To kick off the Beanstalk Event Expansion Update, Jandel is battling Good Boy Sammy (the owner of Steal A Brainrot) in an admin abuse war, and once the admin abuse battle is over, we’ll get to enjoy the expansion of the existing Beanstalk Event update.

For the last two updates; the Zen Update and the Cooking Event Update, we’ve had a new egg launch in the first week of the update (the Zen Egg and the Gourmet Egg), and the second week of both update say the launch of a chest (Kitsune Chest and the Culinarian Chest).
Eggs allow us to hatch pets, while Chests give us a mix of three seeds and three pets, combining the two, and for the Beanstalk Event Expansion update, we’re getting a brand new Chest – the Skyroot Chest.
With the launch of the Skyroot Chest on Saturday, there are two methods in which we’ll be able to ge them.
We can purchase them with Robux via the Grow A Garden Shop, where we can purchase them as 1x, 3x or 10x, and they’ll be an “exotic” version, which gives you the chance to get rainbow versions of the three seeds and three pets.

For the free to play players, we will actually be able to craft the Skyroot Chest via the new Crafting Table, which is being introduced onto Goliath (the giant NPC) cloud platform in the sky, and it looks like the recipe to craft one Skyroot Chest is:
- 1 x Sprout Seed Pack
- 1 x Sprout Egg
- 5.5 Million Sheckles
Now, this recipe could definitely change ahead of the update’s launch; like past sneak peeks, but if the recipe doesn’t change, we’re going to need one of the Sprout Seed Packs, one of the Sprout Eggs, and sheckles to craft a single Skyroot Chest.

I have stopped hatching all Sprout Eggs and opening Sprout Seed Packs now, so I save them all for the event – I have the Golden Goose Pet and three of the Princess Thorn Seeds.

So, if you also have the top pet/seed from this update, I’d recommend keeping all of your Sprout Eggs and Sprout Seed Packs, so you can use them all to craft these new exciting chests.

What is included within the Grow A Garden Skyroot Chest?
Here are the six items you can get within the Skyroot Chest, and the % chances:
- Crown Of Thorns Seed – 34.5% chance
- Elk Pet – 34.5% chance
- Calla Lily Seed – 14.5% chance
- Mandrake Pet – 14.5% chance
- Cyclamen Seed – 1% chance
- Griffin Pet – 1% chance
So, the two rarest items within the chest are the Cyclamen Seed and the Griffin Pet.
Sometimes Grow A Garden creates imaginary seeds and plants, but the Crown Of Thorns, Calla Lily and Cyclamen are all real life plants, which makes the seeds a little more appealing.
When it comes to abilities, we know the abilities of a few of the pets (thanks to the Dawn Discord):

Grow A Garden Elk Pet
It gives you a 2.52% chance for berry fruit to stay after collecting. Rarer plants haves have rarer chance to replant.
It’s just like the existing Deer pet and the Spotted Deer pet – I really hoped we’d get a more exciting benefit, as 2.52% is just so poor.

Grow A Garden Mandrake Pet
Harvesting the Mandrake seed gives you a 3.56% chance the Rot mutations applies to a random fruit in your garden.
People went crazy over the Mandrake seed, so it makes sense that they’d create a pet in the same design.
We don’t know what the Rot multiplier will be, but it’s always good to have pets that give us brand new mutations.

Grow A Garden Griffin Pet
The rarest pet in the Skyroot chest is the Griffin, and every 15:24 minutes, it flaunts its wings and releases a cyclone. Pets struck by the cyclone will have their cooldown advanced by 67.85 seconds, and fruits struck by the cyclone have a 10.43% chance to get the new Cyclonic mutation.
I really like the sound of the Griffin pet. I actually think it’s better than the Lobster Thermidor, which was the pet in the last chest we had (Culinarian Chest), and I so hope I manage to get one, so I’ll be crafting these chests like crazy, as I’ve saved up all of my Sprout Eggs and Sprout Seed Packs.
