The Sprout Egg is the newest egg within Grow A Garden, and it launched as part of the Beanstalk Event update.
Inside this new egg, we have five brand new pets to hatch, with the rarest being the Golden Goose. Keep on reading to find out what the goose does, and whether it’s worth grinding for, within the Beanstalk Event…

What Is The Grow A Garden Golden Goose?
The Grow A Garden Sprout Egg can be purchased with 149 Robux, or it can be purchased in-game with sheckles, or you can get it as a reward by participating within the Beanstalk Event.
If you help to grow the beanstalk, by handing in the required plant types, there will be five glowing green orbs dotted in random places up the beanstalk, and you have to collect them as you climb the beanstalk.
We can get items like Sprout Crates, Sprout Seed Packs, Silver Fertilizer, Bloom Mutation Spray, Master Sprinklers, Godly Sprinklers, Small Toys or Small Treats. We can also get Sprout Eggs, so always make sure you collect the five green orbs as you climb the beanstalk.
If you’re in a public server, and you donate the most fruit to grow the beanstalk, you’ll get an extra reward, which will be 3 x Sprout Eggs, 3 x Sprout Seed Packs or 3 x Sprout Crates, so always try and hustle to be at the top of the leaderboard to try and get those three prizes and hopefully get three eggs.
With the Sprout Egg, there are five pets we can potentially hatch:
- Dairy Cow – 50% chance
- Jackalope – 31% chance
- Sapling – 12% chance
- Golem – 6% chance
- Golden Goose – 1% chance
The Golden Goose pet is a Divine rarity pet, with just a 1% chance, and it’s a big pet, even if you hatch a relatively small one.
Mine hatched at 2.00kg, and it was so hard to photograph, as it has such a big design. It’s a gold colored goose pet, with blue gems decorating the goose.
As the goose walks around your farm, you see the gold sparkles surrounding the goose, just like you do with gold crops, and surrounding the goose, there’s a gold glowing aura, which looks amazing.

What Are The Benefits Of The Grow A Garden Golden Goose Pet?
Every 12:43 minutes, the Golden Goose layers a Golden Egg plant, that starts with the Fortune mutation.
It can be harvested and mutates like other plants. Selling it may apply the Fortune mutation to a fruit in your garden.
I know some people have been confused on what the Goose actually does, so I’ll try and explain it a little better, after having the Goose in my garden for a 24 hours.
The goose walks around your garden, and at around 12-13 minutes, it stops and “lays” a egg shape in your garden, in a random place.
The egg is not a conventional egg that you hatch – it’s acutally an egg shaped plant, and the egg is always “laid” by the Goose with the Fortune mutation applied to it.
Each of these eggs can be mutated like any other plant in the game, and the egg doesn’t grow in size or chance at all once it’s been laid by the Goose. It can collect mutations over time, just like say a Bone Blossom, and gain more value, with the more mutations it has.
The size of the “egg” plants change every time, and you can get kinda small ones, and absolutely massive ones too.
If you “collect” the egg from the ground in your garden, and sell it at the Sell Shop, you can get a pop-up message to say the Fortune mutation has been applied to XYZ, so you know if it’s happened, but it is a pretty small chance that will happen.

The Fortune mutation has a multiplier of x50, so it’s definitely worth having. You can’t control where the goose lays its eggs, and my goose doesn’t seem to work with my 32 Pancake Stacks – it just walks around wherever it wants, and you can’t use the trowel to move the eggs as easy as you can with plants/trees.
It’s a very unique and cool pet, and I like that it is different to anything else we have in the game. I really hoped the golden egg would give you a chance to get a golden version of a pet, as that would be amazing, but egg plants are still pretty epic, and it’s a great money maker, especially if you can AFK overnight, allowing your goose to lay dozens of “egg” plants.
