Grow A Garden have been launching a lot of new pets lately, and the Fennec Fox is the rarest pet to hatch from the Premium Oasis Egg.
The Premium Oasis Egg launched as part of the Mega Harvest Update, and the Fennec Fox has a super unique ability. Keep on reading to find out more!
What Is The Grow A Garden Fennec Fox Pet?
The Fennec Fox is one of five pets you can hatch from the Oasis Eggs.
Right now, the only way to purchase Oasis Eggs is by clicking on the “shop” button on the side of the screen.
Before the Prehistoric Update, you could purchase the Oasis Eggs from Georgia via the Summer Shop – but this shop is no longer in the game.
Georgia still visits as a traveling merchant, selling the summer seeds, but the summer shop isn’t available anymore, which makes the Oasis Eggs even more rare, and the pets even more so.
The five pets you can hatch from an Oasis Egg:
- Meerkat – 45% chance
- Sand Snake – 34.5% chance
- Axolotl – 15% chance
- Hyacinth Macaw – 5% chance
- Fennec Fox – 0.5% chance
You have just a 0.5% chance to hatch a Fennec Fox, and it has such an adorable design.
My Fennec Fox is so tiny, which makes it even cuter, with a beige and white color scheme, dark brown on the end of its tail, and the biggest pointy ears.
What Does The Fennec Fox Pet Do In Grow A Garden?
Every 22:17 minutes, the Fennec Fox goes to another player’s random fruit, has a chance to copy 1 random mutation, and apply it to random fruit you own. The higher mutation multiplier, the rarer chance to copy.
So, the Fennec Fox walks over to another player’s garden in your server, and heads to a mutated fruit, and has a “chance” to copy one mutation from that fruit, bring it back to your garden, and apply it to one random fruit you own.
I don’t know why Grow A Garden hasn’t specified what the “chance” is? It is so vague, and usually they’re a lot more specific in telling us the percentage chance.
It is definitely a chance though, and not guaranteed. The Fennec Fox will always walk over to another garden, but it often fails to apply the mutation, and you get the pop-up message at the top of the screen to tell you the Fennec Fox failed to apply the XYZ mutation.
It’s crazy that the Oasis Egg was only available for one week, for free to play players, so the pets inside these eggs Oasis Eggs are going to be super rare, so don’t hand any of them over to the DNA machine, as trading is officially launching within the next two weeks.
