Grow A Garden introduced a number of new weather events to the game, as part of their summer season update, replacing wintery weather events like snow, and replacing them with more summery weather events like tornado, wind and heatwave.
The gale weather event is one of the newest weather events in-game, and it’s pretty cool to witness. Keep on reading to find out more…

Grow A Garden describes the Gale weather event as “a rare and powerful gust of wind, high chance to give the windstruck mutation.
We see the windy weather event very often, where you’ll see the screen go a little bit muted and hear a blowing sound through the speakers of your device, and that gives you a “small” chance of getting the windstruck mutation, which has a x2 multiplier.
The gale weather event is rare, and I’ve only seen it once since the update launched five days ago, and it was unlike any other weather event in game.

Firstly, the sky became very gray, with lots of clouds, and you could see the wind animation sweeping across the fields in waves, but the coolest part is that you cannot stand still during the gale event.
If you stand still, the gale pushes you along the ground, and I don’t know if the gale will change directions of the wind each time, but it was blowing from behind the Seed Shop towards the Gear Shop, so the gale was blowing my avatar towards the Gear Shop, and there’s nothing you can do to stop the gale from blowing you across the field.
It was SO strong, but fun to witness, and when the gale weather event happens, you get a black wind icon in the top corner, which, when clicked says “Gale: Super High Windstruck Fruit Chance”.

There are no other Grow A Garden weather events that give you the words “super high chance”, which makes the gale event really cool, as you’re getting a super high chance that your crops will gain the windstruck mutation, giving you a x2 multiplier.
Keep an eye out for the next gale weather event in-game, and see how hard it is to keep still!
