We are officially less than two weeks away from the Grow A Garden Summer Update, and Jandel confirmed that this summer update is going to be the biggest update they’ve ever done.
We’ve seen some epic updates lately, but the summer update is going to be the best so far, and it looks like it’s going to be expensive too.
The Grow A Garden Summer Update is set to launch on Saturday, the 21st of June, and launches at 10am EST.
Grow A Garden revealed the above image as their first teaser for the update, and we can see a couple of items which are likely to appear within the Grow A Garden summer update.
There’s two blue and white striped sun lounger chairs, and a sandcastle on the floor next to it, which gives us a preview that this update is going to also include cosmetic items, and cosmetic items tend to be expensive.
It’s likely that there will be Grow A Garden summer update crates, just like the ones they launched for the cosmetics update, twilight shop update, and the Bizzy Bee update.
These will be stocked in the cosmetic shop, and for a price estimation, for example, the Farmer’s Gnome Crate is 88 million sheckles for one crate, and the Common Gnome Crate is 56 million sheckles for one single crate.
So, it’d be wise to expect to pay between 50 and 90 million sheckles per crate, for the summer update items, if you’re wanting to revamp your farm with summer themed cosmetic items.
I can’t wait to see which items we get within the cosmetic collection for the summer update. The sun loungers look so cute.
However, where it is going to get super expensive, within the Grow A Garden Summer Update, is this announcement:
“All new seeds in the shop, new weather events, new mutations, its gonna make a bunch of the current plants so rare“
The Grow A Garden Seed Shop is going to get all new seeds, so we are going to have completely new seeds, and the seeds that are currently on sale, will no longer be available.
So, that means the seeds available from now until the update, will be super rare once the update launches, so ensure you stock up on all of your favorites between now and the launch date.
We are going to have a completely full shop of seeds to purchase, as they’re all going to be new.
If we look at the current seed inventory within Grow A Garden, here are the seeds currently available within the Seed Shop:
- Carrot – 10 sheckles
- Strawberry – 50 sheckles
- Blueberry – 400 sheckles
- Orange Tulip – 600 sheckles
- Tomato – 800 sheckles
- Corn – 1,300 sheckles
- Daffodil – 1,000 sheckles
- Watermelon – 2,500 sheckles
- Pumpkin – 3,000 sheckles
- Apple – 3,250 sheckles
- Bamboo – 4,000 sheckles
- Coconut – 6,000 sheckles
- Cactus – 15,000 sheckles
- Dragon Fruit – 50,000 sheckles
- Mango – 100,000 sheckles
- Grape – 800,000 sheckles
- Mushroom – 150,000 sheckles
- Pepper – 1,000,000 sheckles
- Cacao – 2,500,000 sheckles
- Beanstalk – 10,000,000 sheckles
- Ember Lily – 15,000,000 sheckles
If you love any of these plants right now, buy them whenever you see them on stock, as they will no longer be available once the Seed Shop gets its makeover on June.
The total cost for one single seed of each of the existing seeds is a total of 29,637,910 sheckles (nearly 30 million sheckles), and that is if you are purchasing just one single seed.
I think the prices of the new seeds will be much higher than the prices we currently have, as the economy has changed thanks to the sprinkler method, and the crazy amount of mutations.
You could see this in the price of the Moon Mango Tree, which launched in the Twilight Shop, and was 1 billion per seed, and the most expensive seed we’ve ever had in the game.
I don’t think all of the seeds will be this kind of price, but I do feel like some might be.
If I had to choose a conservative number, for how many sheckles I think we’ll need in this update, we’ll need at least 90 million for each crate you want – so let’s say six crates, so you can get a bunch of the new items, making that 540 million for cosmetic crates alone.
That’s not even considering the summer cosmetic items that will be available as standalone items in the Cosmetics Shop.
Then, for the seeds, we’re going to need at least 50 million sheckles to purchase at least one seed from all the new seeds within the shop, and that’s if the prices are around the same old prices, which is very unlikely.
In truth, I think we’re going to need at least 1 billion sheckles for the Grow A Garden Summer update, and perhaps maybe 5 billion minimum, if we’re being realistic, so make sure you’re stacking your mutations, to make as much in-game currency as possible, so you’ll be able to buy every single brand new seed when the Grow A Garden Summer Update launches.
