Grow A Garden launched their Bizzier Bees update this past weekend, which was also named the Friendship Update.
Whilst the update mainly focused on the bee and honey element of the previous update, there were two new additions to the game, which tied into a friends theme for the game. One of those additions was the Friendship Pot. If you’d like to find out more about this pot, keep on reading…

What Is The Grow A Garden Friendship Pot?
The Friendship Pot is a gear item you purchase from the Gear Shop, where it is on sale for 20,000,000 (twenty million sheckles), and is rated as being Divine, in terms of rarity, so it’s very rarely in stock, so you’d need to keep checking back to see if it’s available.
Alternatively, you can use the official Grow A Garden Discord channel, and their stock ping service, where you’ll get a notification on your phone or tablet, whenever your chosen items are available (seeds, gear or eggs).
Grow A Garden describes their Friendship Pot as being a flower pot to share with a friend.

How Does The Grow A Garden Friendship Pot Work?
One friend purchases the pot for 20,000,000, and it goes into your gear section in your inventory.
When you click the friendship pot within your inventory, it puts a brown terracotta, square-shaped plant pot into your hands, and on the screen, there’s a pop-up message which tells you to “link your pot with a friend”.
Once the pot is in your hands, if you try and place the pot somewhere in your garden, you get another pop-up message which reads “you must link/share this Friendship Pot before placing it!”.
To Link/Share the Friendship Pot, you have to be in the same Grow A Garden server as your chosen friend, and you walk up to your friend whilst holding the plant pot, and a black message will appear on the screen which says “Link/Share with XYZ” and you hold to confirm that it is this friend you wish to share the plant pot with.
Once you’ve held to confirm you want to share a pot with your friend, your friend will get the red and green pop-up message you usually get when trying to gift someone, asking them to accept or decline the request to share the plant pot.
If you don’t accept within 10 seconds, the request will expire, and you’ll have to re-send the request.
Once the friend clicks accept, the plant pot duplicates, and both you and your friend will be holding an identical plant pot, and there’s a message on the screen for both players, telling you to place the plant pot somewhere in your garden.

What Does The Grow A Garden Friendship Pot Do?
When both you and your chosen friend are holding the Friendship Pot, you both have to place the pot somewhere in your garden.
You need to be really mindful in the placement of the pot, as you cannot move it once you’ve placed it.
I wish I had known this, as I didn’t think it would be a permanent placement situation. All you can do is shovel it, to remove it completely, but it is not moveable like plants or cosmetics items.
Both players need to place the pot down in their gardens, and I’d recommend leaving a decent amount of room to the sides of the pot, but also above, as it’s a tall plant.
You can only have one Friendship Pot with each friend at one time, and if you try and place another, you will get a pop-up message to tell you that you already have a Friendship Pot with your friend in your farm.
When you place the pot in your garden, you’ll see white text above the pot which reads [XYZ & XYZ’s Pot] with a heart emoji, and a number, which goes up every time you “tend” to the pot within your friend’s garden.

To “tend” to the pot, you just click and hold the “tend” text on the pot. You don’t have to water it or do anything else, it’s just clicking, but both friends need to “tend” to the pot in the friend’s garden – not their own, once every 24 hours.
If either of you forget to do it, the number next to the heart will go back down to zero, and you lose your streak. The longer your streak, the bigger and better your plant will be.
So, it’s extremely important that you both remember to “tend” to the pot in the friend’s garden every 24 hours, so they don’t let the other friend down, and lose their streak.

You can actually see in this photo, what the plant will look like, providing both friends do not miss a single day.
I wouldn’t personally do the Friendship Pot with anyone other than an alt account, as I wouldn’t want to stress over whether a friend remembers to do it, and trying to coordinate both being in the same server at the same time, so I did it with my alt account to test it out.
I think it’s a really cute idea, especially if you constantly play with a friend, as going into their garden plot to “tend” to the Friendship Pot wouldn’t be an issue.
However, imagine how awful you’d feel if you forgot one day, and let your friend down, lost your streak, lost the chance of a big amazing plant, plus the pot isn’t cheap – it’s 20 million sheckles, and you can’t even move it once you’ve placed it down, so just be careful where you decide to place your Friendship Pot.
