One of the most popular pets within the Grow A Garden game, is the raccoon. Not only is it a super adorable pet design, but it can be very beneficial in earning sheckles, especially if you’re playing in a server with players that have crazy mutated fruits. Keep on reading to find out everything about the raccoon pet.

What Is The Grow A Garden Raccoon Pet?
The Grow A Garden Raccoon is a pet which can be hatched via the Night Eggs.
The Night Eggs were limited edition eggs that launched during the Lunar Glow update, and have since been discontinued, so you can no longer get your hands on the Night Eggs, unless you have a big stash of them, from completing the Lunar Glow event, or purchasing them when the Blood Moon shop or Twilight Shop were available.
Within the Night Eggs, you can catch one of the following pets:
- Hedgehog 40%
- Mole 22%
- Frog 14%
- Echo Frog 10%
- Night Owl 4%
- Raccoon 1%
The Raccoon is the rarest pet to get within the Night Eggs, and after the dragonfly, I’d say it is the most sought after pet within the entire game.
It has the cutest design, and apart from the new teddy bear themed bee pet, from the Bizzy Bee update, I think the raccoon is the cutest looking pet from the entire game. It is just adorable.
I opened a really big raccoon too, and it’s just so cute with the way it twitches its head and tail, and struts across the field to get to other player’s gardens.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Raccoon Pet
With a 1% chance of hatching a raccoon in a Night Egg, you have a very slim chance of getting one, even more so now the Night Eggs are no longer available.
If you’re a member of the Grow A Garden Discord or Subreddit, you’ll see endless messages from people wanting to trade for the raccoon, and that has a lot to do with the many YouTube videos showing you how to make billions of sheckles doing the raccoon method.

If you own the Grow A Garden Raccoon, every 15 minutes, the raccoon runs into the garden of another player, and duplicates one of their crops and runs back to you.
The player doesn’t lose their crop, you just get a duplicate, and it could be any crop at all.
It actually walks out of your garden gate, struts across the field to get into another player’s garden, duplicates the crop and then carries the crop in its mouth to you, and you get a notification on the screen to tell you what it got for you.
You could obviously get the smallest non-mutated strawberry, but equally, you could get a giant mutated mushroom, and this is why it’s so popular, because people play a tactic of pairing up with another player with only super valuable fruits, and the raccoon will just keep duplicating those super valuable fruits.
It is definitely one of the best pet benefits in the game, but I actually just love the raccoon design, and I’m gutted we can no longer get our hands on the night eggs, but hopefully they’ll bring the raccoon back in a future update, as people want one so bad!
