Some Grow A Garden pets get a lot of praise and mentions within the community, but there are some pets, like the Grow A Garden pig, that I feel people just don’t talk about.
I actually think the pig is an alright pet, with a benefit which will benefit your crops. If you’d like to find out more information about the pig pet, keep on reading…

What Is The Grow A Garden Pig Pet?
The pig is one of five pets you can hatch out of a Rare Egg. Rare Eggs are 600,000 (six hundred thousand sheckles), and are a bright blue color.
When purchasing one of the rare eggs, you’ll get one of these five pets inside;
- Orange Tabby (cat) 33.33%
- Spotted Deer (brown with white spots) 25%
- Pig (pink) 16.67%
- Rooster (yellow) 16.67%
- Monkey (brown) 8.33%
I think all five pets are super cute in the rare egg, and the pig is kinda hard to get compared to the orange tabby cat and spotted deer.
It’s a really cute pig, and it reminds me of the Minecraft pigs, with a square boxy design, pink color, black eyes, and brown trotters.
Personally, I love pigs in real life, but I think the pig is adorable, as its little ears wiggle up and down as it walks around your garden.

Benefits Of Owning The Grow A Garden Pig Pet
While the pig is an underappreciated pet, in my opinion, the benefit it offers is actually pretty decent.
Every 119 seconds, the pig emits an “aura” (basically a green circle) for 15 seconds, granting a 2.01x chance for new fruit to grow as variants within 15.18 studs.
15.18 studs is a decent area, and while 2.01x feels a little stingy, the variants could be bigger fruit sizes, or rarer variants like rainbow or gold.

I find that I got more gold fruits growing in, when I have the pig equipped.
Considering the pig can be found in a relatively affordable egg, I don’t think it’s too bad. Sure, there are pets with more impressive benefits and traits, but I think it’s a good starter pet, and the design is so cute.
