We have a new installment for the Grow A Garden Zen Update launching this Saturday, and it’s the Grow A Garden Corrupted Update.
It’s always exciting whenever we get a new Grow A Garden update, but this weekend’s update is a little different from the average update, as Jandel is going to be doing the Admin Abuse session pre-update, with a celebrity guest – which has been confirmed as being Travis Kelce.
We’ve never had a guest for Jandel’s abuse before, so it’s exciting to have a different format for this week’s admin abuse. Keep reading to find out more…

What Is The Grow A Garden Corrupted Event Update?
Last Saturday (19th July), Grow A Garden launched their Zen Update, which included the brand new Zen Egg (with 6 new pets), a new quest format (which is basically identical to the Bee event), a new event shop and some new seeds.
It wasn’t the most exciting update to be completely honest, as it just feels like the Bee Swarm event all over again, with tranquil fruits instead of pollinated fruits, but this week’s update is a second part of the original Zen Update, and this time it’s supposedly “corrupted”.
Here is the official announcement for this week’s update:
“Corrupted Event 🌀💢🍃
A corrupt channeler has arrived and Tranquility is fading, you must help restore balance! Explore and participate to unlock all new seeds, pets, features, weather, and so much more!“

This new update is being called the Corrupted Event, rather than just the Corrupted Update, so it looks like the Zen Tree quest we have right now will be replaced with a new darker colored tree, and instead of earning Zen Points, we’ll be earning points by trying to “restore balance” and overcome the corrupt channeller.
Hopefully this means we’ll get a new event shop, with new items, as they’ve announced we’re getting new pets and new seeds, so it’s highly likely.
I’d love to see a brand new egg, rather than being able to buy fully grown pets from the event shop, like the Koi fish pet.

We can see that we’re getting some brand new called Exotic Corrupt Chests.
It looks like this is a brand new item which contains a mixture of seeds and pets all-in-one, which is something completely new for the game.
We usually have seed packs or eggs, and it looks like this is something new which will combine those two types of items.
These chests will be available for Robux, but also it looks like they’ll be something we can earn from the game too.
Inside the Grow A Garden Corrupt Chest, there will be the following items:
- Maneki-Neko Pet – 34.5% chance
- Dezen Seed – 34.5% chance
- Kodama Pet – 14.5% chance
- Lucky Bamboo Seed – 14.5% chance
- Corrupted Kitsune Pet – 1% chance
- Tranquil Bloom Seed – 1% chance

We are getting a brand new seed, and it is called the Elder Strawberry.
It is not currently known if it’ll be added to the Seed Shop, or if it’ll be part of the new corrupted theme Zen update, but new seeds are always exciting regardless.

There’s a brand new pet, which is called the Raiju. It looks like it could be a variation of a fox, with a white, gold and black color theme.
I can’t wait to see what the ability will be, and if we’re able to purchase it fully grown from the event shop, like we can with the Koi pet.

We are getting a brand new gear item, and it’s a Corrupt Radar, which I guess will work just like the Tranquil Radar, picking up corrupt mutated fruits.
I guess that the on-the-hour tranquil events could be mixed with corrupt events randomly, and will give corrupt mutations rather than tranquil mutations, maybe?

Just like the Tranquil Shard, we’re getting a Corrupted Pet Mutation Shard, which will mutate our pets so they have the Corrupted mutation, and will mutate our fruit/flowers into the corrupt mutation.
What Time Does The Grow A Garden Corrupted Event Update Launch?
The second part of the Zen Update; the Corrupted Event update, will launch at 10am EST on Saturday, the 26th of July 2025, and, as normal, it is going to be another week-long update, running until the 2nd of August.
It is so, so important you join Grow A Garden early this week, because we have a celebrity guest joining Jandel for the admin abuse, and they’re going to be doing some crazy new weather events for us.
Two weeks ago we got the super cool obby, and if you completed it, you got a jump pad for free, and it’s possible they’ll do something like that again this week, with freebies, as it’s such a big deal that a “celebrity” is going to be online with Jandel for the admin abuse.
Make sure you are at least 60 minutes earlier than the below times, so you don’t miss out, but I would honestly recommend being online 90 minutes before the update launches, so you are part of the whole experience.
