With the Grow A Garden Mega Harvest Update, we saw some cool changes to the harvest event, where we have to submit our summer fruits for 10 minutes, on the hour, every hour.
Now, when the announcement appears on the screen, to let you know the harvest has begun, there’s a small chance we’ll get a message to tell us a travelling merchant has arrived. Keep on reading to find out more…

I’ve only seen the merchant arrive once, since the update launched, so it is rare, but there are two different merchants that can appear, during the harvest event.
When the pop-up message appears, to tell you it’s harvest time, and the pet shop has restocked etc, a message can appear at the end of that list, to say a traveling merchant has arrived.
When a merchant arrives, they will stay for 30 minutes, so you don’t have to worry about visiting the merchant stall until the harvest event is over, so you don’t waste any of that time.
This merchant is the Gnome Merchant, and his pop-up stall appears right next to the Seed Shop, with a cute little gnome standing on a crate, with a ladder next to it, for the gnome to climb, and a little wooden sign to say Gnome Merchant.

When you click to interact with the gnome, you get a pop-up menu, showing you the items the gnome merchant is selling.
The Gnome Shop has two different gnome crates on sale; the Common Gnome Crate and the Farmers Gnome Crate.
I don’t know if the stock changes each time, but when it arrived for me, there was one crate in stock for both types of the crate, and once you’ve purchased them, they appear in your inventory, for you to place them down in your garden.

The first crate is the Common Gnome Crate, which is 56 million sheckles.

The second crate is the Farmers Gnome Crate, and this crate is 88 million sheckles.
If you like the gnomes within the game, and like using them in your garden, with the other cosmetic items, keep an eye on the Gnome Merchant whenever a harvest event starts, so you don’t miss out on being able to purchase gnome crates from the merchant.
In addition to this gnome merchant, there is also the Sky Merchant, but I’m yet to experience the Sky Merchant yet, just the Gnome Merchant.
