Everybody is talking about the crazy Grow A Garden Nihonzaru cooldown glitch that’s happening right now.
The official Grow A Garden Discord is flooded with reports of people having crazy 15 second cooldown periods for the most OP pets, like the dragonfly, T. Rex, spinosaurus, kitsune and raccoon, and it’s all because of one pet in the game. I’m going to explain what the glitch is, how it works, and why you shouldn’t try it.

During the Grow A Garden Zen Update, we got a brand new egg called the Zen Egg. Inside this egg, there are six brand new pets, and one of those pets is the Nihonzaru Pet.
It’s a monkey, and it has a super unique ability, in that you have to have a Hot Spring cosmetic item to be able to use the pet, and this cosmetic item is only available via the Zen Shop.
Its ability is: As long as you have a Hot Spring in your garden, the pet bathes in it, and boosts all pet’s passives by a small percentage.
When you place the Hot Spring in your garden, the monkey will walk its way over, and get inside it, and when it is inside the “spring”, it will improve the abilities for all of your other pets by 2.5%.

The Hot Spring Cosmetic Item costs 30 Chi Points, and it’s a little rock pool, that the monkey “bathes” in, and there’s currently a glitch for players that own the monkey and the hot spring, when you use the XP boosters in-game.
By doing this glitch, it is supercharging your other pets (not the monkeys), by reducing the cool down period for their abilities to 5 seconds to 15 seconds, depending on the pet, the ability, and their age.

How To Do The Grow A Garden Nihonzaru Pet Cooldown Glitch
This glitch is going to be patched ASAP, as it’s affecting so many players right now, and Grow A Garden are always pretty good at fixing glitches like this within the game.
The glitch happens when you first place down your Hot Spring item anywhere in your garden, followed by putting your nihonzaru monkey pet down, so it can get inside the hot spring.
You then need to place down the pets you want to be boosted by the glitch (so any pets you want to have a shorter cooldown period for), and you then need to give these pets the Small Treat (crafted via the crafting bench).
You need to wait until the treat’s duration period is over, and the XP boost has run out, and leave the game. Leave the game for 30 minutes, and when you rejoin the game, your pets will have a lower cooldown period.

Why You Shouldn’t Try This Glitch For Yourself!
Players that are doing this glitch within the game, are getting a pop-up warning message at the top of the screen, regarding trading/gifting pets.
The message reads: “You are ineligible to send gifts right now! If you see this message please report to developers with your userid”
It looks like they’ve created a block for players that are doing this glitch, because people could trade these pets with super low cooldowns, and it’ll ruin the game.
As fun as it might be, to have a dragonfly that turns crops gold every 15 minutes, it will ruin the game’s mechanics, and the economy, so until they patch this glitch, it looks like the perfect solution.

Now, there’s no mention anywhere of how long you’ll be blocked from gifting and trading, but if you’re taking advantage of the glitch, you’re technically doing an exploit, which is against the TOS of Roblox.
We know trading is coming very soon, maybe even on Saturday, and if you’re blocked from trading/gifting, you won’t be able to participate in the trading update, whenever it finally launches.
If you do have a block on your account, you need to report this in the official Grow A Garden Discord, and give them your userID, which is the string of numbers within the URL of your Roblox profile, for example, it’ll look like this: https://www.roblox.com/users/0000000000/profile
So, I would recommend not trying it for yourself, as you don’t want to risk your garden, your pets or your Roblox account.
